How to Get Rid of Viagra Spam, and Other Unwanted E-mail Spam
If you are like me, you have been irritated by e-mail solicitations for Viagra products and / or other spam e-mails. In this hub, I am going to explain how to put an end to such solicitations, once and for all, by creating a filter in your e-mail account. It is a simple process. It is similar in Yahoo and Gmail. In Hotmail, it is slightly different. I will be using Yahoo to illustrate, since that is my primary e-mail account.
Step 1: Under "Options" click on "Mail Options"
Step 2: Click "Filters"
Step 3: Click "Add Filter"
Step 4: Name your filter and complete the filtering details
After naming your filter, you are given several more filtering options. Fill out the ones that apply. For spam purposes, I use the "sender" and "body" options with the "contains" sub-option. I input the e-mail address from which I receive my spam in the "sender" box and something that is unique in their message in the "body" box.
Afterwards, choose a folder where you want your spam sent. I suggest the trash folder.
Step 5: Click "Save Changes"
It's as simple as that! From now on your e-mail account will automatically file the spam that you have filtered into the trash. Good riddens!
