How to stop unwanted applications those are slowing down windows
Windows can often slow down due to frequent background running applications which might be stopped to free Random Access Memory and processor time.
Start Task Manager
Right click on status bar to invoke the task menu
Select the Services Tab
Select the “Start Task Manager” and click the mouse button to invoke the Task Manager
Select the Services Tab
Go through the list of running services
The list of all services running on your computer are shown. Go through the list to select the services which are not needed (for example Adobe Update Service or service of that application which you used last time but not needed more).
Stop the unwanted services
Press right mouse button to open the popup window to stop the selected service and Select “End Process” to stop the unwanted process to stop running.
This would release the memory and free up the processor time in some cases. Be careful not to stop those application services which you wish to continue to use.
