Knoji; Factoidz by another name

Updated on June 1, 2017

The Gall

On March 19th I received the following email:

In the next week, we'll be unveiling a
brand new version of Factoidz.The
new site will have a beautiful design,
and will be packed with awesome
features that truly enhance the
experience for both writers and
readers. We've selected you as one
of our most trusted members who
exemplifies the best qualities of a
great writer and community member
- and would like to invite you to
preview our new and improved version of Factoidz.

We're also contacting you because as one of our most
trusted community members, we'd also like to ask if you'd
be interested in becoming a Moderator
on our new site.
Your abilities as a writer will remain unchanged, but as a
Moderator you'll have new abilities to modify, edit and
remove content and overall help us maintain a high level
of content quality. You'll also be featured prominently
as a Moderator and will carry that title across the site.

Awesome

Let Me Announce:

I am one of the many,
many people who was
ripped off by Factoidz.

I was dropped from Staff
Writer (where I earned the
higher revenue) all the way
to Member, where I earn
nothing although my articles were getting hits and earning money.
Earning money for the Site Owner.

My writing was not deleted, my writing was stolen. By Factoidz. My articles remained on Factoidz, gaining revenue, a great deal of revenue, for the site
as well as adding credibility to the site.

As my work was of such caliber, the Owner and Only Employee, Mike Quac,
captured it. This is not unusual.

The best writers of Factoidz, were ripped off by the Owner and Only Employee.
The mundane scribblers who tongue cleaned Quac's toes were kept as Shills.

Slaves to the Master

At the bottom of this article were a large number of comments which loudly, and quite most believably, disputed what I had written.

In fact, from the moment this article was published, until I was forced to
remove the Comment Capsule, there were so many offensive comments
written by 'guests' it was evident Quac had sent his shills to attack me.

This is a hallmark of the Factoidz culture; Steal a writer's work, then blame
them for 'breaking the rules' , yet using he same items that 'broke the rules'
to earn revenue for the Owner and Only Employee.

Each Shill, was on pain of demotion, i impelled to attack any and all
detractors. Each Shill, using as many duals as they can, will log on and
on to Attack anyone who dares criticise Factoidz or Quac.

This practice ended.
It Ended when EVERYONE who wrote for Factoidz, including Shills, were
ripped off by the Owner and Only Employee.

When Neighbour's Beard Catch Fire

My story is not unique.

There is an ever increasing number persons who had written for Factoidz who share my story.

Most people were easily conned by Factoidz. This is because it kept a stable
of active and rabid Shills which Trawled the Net searching for any item which
was not complimentary to Factoidz or its Owner.

These Shill could be found in any Forum which questioned Factoidz. One can
read attack after attack made on those who complained about being ripped off.

Their Shill's usual restort was:

"You were kicked off for Breaking the Rules!!"

How would a member of a site know what transpired between that member and
the owner? Especially on a site as secretive as Factoidz?

A site where there was only One Employee?

Let's Google

In a Search Box type
Factoidz+rip off.

On March 23, 2012 at
12:23 my time I got 77,800 hits.

Factoidz+scam, done on the
same date at 12:25 returned
34,300 hits.

This is rather a high number; (on some days even higher).

Considering the number of complaints made against Factoidz, and the fact
it was taken down by Law, it is clear that:

Those who live in the United States and file a complaint get paid. Those who
do not live in the United States were targeted.

In short, if one did not reside in the United States writing for Factoidz was
serving yourself for lunch.

Knoji

As is clear, Factoidz was a
Ponzi scheme.

Revenue gained from the 'Member' articles were used to pay other writers;
newbies and pet shills.

Having gone from 353,241 hits in February to 248,353 in August of 2011 (this is after a major decline in 2010) Factoidz decided to take radical action.

Let me be a bit clearer; Factoidz was Forced Closed By American Law
Enforcement.

Quac, taking the money didn't run far. He quickly opened a new site called Knoji. That is far enough away from Factoidz as to make the average user believe
that this is a new and safe site.

Many users were unaware that Knoji is Factoidz.
If you type www.factoidz.com into your browser. Guess what will load?

Knoji.

And what was there in the first days were items taken from Factoidz.
Article after article which had been published on Factoidz, but had
not been paid for.

Repentance say you?

The articles that had been written by "Members" on Factoidz, (Members can not write articles, hence these articles were written when the Member was a Writer
/Staff Writer) and ought have been paid for, stuffed Knoji in its first days.

These articles ought have been deleted or abandoned on Factoidz. Not
stolen by the Owner and Only Employee of Factoidz who is the Owner
and Only Employee of Knoji to fatten his pocket.

As is clear from the email quoted in the first paragraph of this article,
Knoji was Factoidz in another incarnation. It operated under the same principles.

However, it is uglier, cheaper and of vastly lower quality.

There were complaints about Knoji so the better items stolen from those who
had been ripped off by Factoidz were quietly removed as they were replaced
by new writers.

The revenue to be earned on Knoji was cut to about one fifth of Factoidz.

As part of the original Knoji scam the idea was to 'overpay' the new writer, get as much as possible, then drop them to member and confiscate the work.

The New writer would gain a 'bonus' of a $1.00 on every new item.
After publishing a few items, this 'bonus' was dropped to 80c, then
to 40c, then to 20c, then to 10c.

Considering how few hits an article on Knoji gets, and how many hits it takes to reach a whole One Cent, there was no much earnings.

The complaints began early and Knoji changed into an Online Store Review
and coupon center.

Most frightening of all are the Terms of Use.

Read them before you think of joining the site. They are repressive, restrictive
and insure that Mike Quac, the Owner and Only Employee, has a legal right
to take your work and not pay you.

I made over $50.00 a month on Factoidz, just before they cptued my work. I had no intention of participating in anything that in anyway was connected to Quac. A reader joined Knoji to prove me right/wrong and pretty much gives me the $15 to $5 to 10c style.

Put it like this, guys who write articles about replacing a toilet seat aren't what I would call a 'writer'.

Because the trolls are the only ones getting paid, and their payments are decreasing again promote, promote, promote. People get hooked up on the claims of a couple of hundred dollars a month for writing product reviews UNTIL they join and reality slaps them in the face. I think the most I ever made for one month was 15 bucks when it was Factoidz and that was even if I did not publish anything for the month, now it is like 3 bucks or less. This month I earned, but did not get paid. Well, Mike Quoc can use my 3 bucks and buy a Happy Meal if he can find one at that price.

No, it hasn't and the 'joke' is that the site is such rubbish tht how or why anyone would join is beyond rational.

Knoji is garbage now. But the same old practices of cheating writers has not changed.

Factoidz was attractive and made people think thy were reading something of value. No matter how many times I go to knoji I am struck by how very crappy it looks.

I have not published anything for over a month, and don't plan on doing so anymore. But I will get my articles that I have published there, at least the ones I want if any. I just love copy and paste.

A friend of mine who joined to prove me right/wrong states that he is now SEO 'Low' and made 10c this month.

What I love so much about Quac is that he knows the public so well, knows how to rip them off and no matter how many times he does it, he still gets over.

Just checked my account. Now my SEO that was Medium has been pushed to low for the same articles. My earnings were listed, but not put in my Pay Pal Account. Here we go again, Quoc not paying.

We went through some serious Ponzis in my country so I am so familiar with the style and actions. the basic Ponzi is effective because there are always those who proclaim the validity of the scam.

He does this all of the time. One writer told him to go ahead and do it, over 2 years ago, and nothing was done. Well, I guess his writers are defaming companies being they are writing reviews on companies without using their products. The stuff he hits sites like this for, create a blog, and post it there.

I know from comments I am reading, get in emails, that the stupid trolls are happy. One got promoted to expert. So if they are happy, they are hitting all the sites again. They use up all of their time looking for writers, and what they are doing, they don't have time to write, yet they are supposedly the top earners.. Maybe a bit of incognito cash is going to them.

He contacts the site and says something like this:

"You have published an article which is defamatory. I have contacted my legal team and intend to pursue action against you. You can avoid this by deleting the article. "

99.9999% of all publishing sites don't read the articles and will immediately delete the item or order the owner to delete it .

Triond is the most cowardly of all sites. It just deletes without evening sending a message. This is because they don't care.

When the item is published on a blog or a site with some guts, it isn't automatic. But in most cases he gets what he wants because he knows how to play the sites.

But how can a nobody be able to control other sites.

What I have learned is that his 'power' is enormous. He can tell any writing site that this article is 'defamatory' and the site will, without reading delete it or order it deleted. This is the answer to the constantly repeated question as to how and why this scam could persist so long.

I understand that there were people as early as 2010 who were posting warnings, and many of them were kicked off those sites and their articles deleted.

Since I have spoken out here, earnings dropped, can no longer edit my work, cannot ask or answer questions, and have been flagged for spam, which I have complained about to them, yet no response as usual. Now the new dupe for selected writers, looks like the newbies are being picked is for writers to select assignement articles, write them, post them on Knoji and the dupe is he is allowing them to repost only these articles to their other sites with idea of getting paid twice. He forgot to mention PANDA, and duplicate content reprucussions, and writers are not seeing it.
