LG optimus 3D phone wows crowds

Updated on May 25, 2011

Mobile phones are continually coming out with new applications, technology and features to amaze users with. The latest in line to blow you over is the brand new LG optimus 3D phone. This is a one of kind new model, which has a lot of power packed features waiting to blow you over. The phone looks much like the earlier releases but is notable for its fancy wide 4.3 inch multi touch screen. This officially marks the entry of LG into the domain of tablet phones. Claimed to be neither too small nor too large, it is banking on the 3D technology that it offers minus the 3D glasses to steal the show.

The device was first unveiled at the mobile world congress in Barcelona, Spain. Running on Android 2.2 (Froyo ) and an 8 GB internal memory, it looks sleek, sexy and striking.  The device can be upgraded to the newest version of Android 2.3 of course and comes with a one of a kind tri-dual configuration. It has dual memory architecture, dual configuration and a dual core processor designed by Texas Instruments. This baby is guaranteed to offer high speed and efficiency in running.

The company is the first to launch 3D phones without the glasses, it works on a  technology similar to the handheld Nintendo 3D gaming system using an illusion created when held at the right distance. The dual 5MP cameras at the back of the phone come with an LCD light which makes the 3D images and videos possible. To record the 3D instantaneously, you have a 3D button replacing the camera shutter button to allow users to capture every special moment. It also seems to come with a camera in the front which is perhaps for video calling.

The processor it has runs on NVidia Tegra and the screen has a WVGA display. This offers crystal clear pictures and amazingly beautiful video and images in both 2D and 3D. The connectivity offered in this device is as good as before with WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth and also an additional HDMi port for connecting to your television or monitor. There is the USB connectivity option/mass storage device functionality as well as in previous Optimus models. You can record videos using the LG optimus 3D phone in 720p for images and 1080p for 3D videos. The battery at 1500MaH is also a good bet.

Additional specifications that make this phone unique include a preloaded you tube app allowing users to share their 3D Videos on YouTube. It also is launching a one a kind augmented reality platform with the first ever browser being provided offering an enriched real time experience for users with this phone. In collaboration with wikitude, it shows landmarks, places and other details in 3D making them more easily recognizable using a compass, accelerometer and 3G.  With an extensive database from Wikitude, this browser is set to change user experiences.

Priced at about 514 pounds and set to release in markets this summer, this is just the phone to heat up the summer with. LG fits many features into one single package and there is a lot to look out for if the phone meets expectations.
