The Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-953BLK 15.6-Inch Laptop is a great laptop for those who are looking for a great touchscreen and an easy to use operating system.

One of the most important features I look for when buying a laptop is the weight.

Having the ability to take my laptop where I want and having something that it's small and lightweight makes a world of difference in my mind.

That is just one of the many features I look for when finding the right laptop.

Laptops have come a long way since the bulky creations that first appeared on the market many years ago.

The rate of innovation among laptops has slowed in recent years due to the surge of popularity for tablets.

They used to have limited capabilities due to their size, which is much smaller in comparison to desktop computers.

You couldn’t fit enough parts to make a laptop as powerful as other products you could purchase.

Now, the parts that are needed to increase the power of a laptop are small enough to fit into pretty much any shell.

Who Should Buy a Laptop?

You might be wondering why you should invest in a laptop when desktops are more adaptable to your performance preferences.

The reality is that behemoths are too bulky for anyone who’s even remotely on-the-go.

If you want to be stuck at home using your desktop, it’s the product that you should choose.

These computers are great for people who like to play computer games or businesses with a lot of employees based within a single physical location.

Individuals who don’t fit into either one of those categories have to go with more portable options.

Types of Laptop Options

Tablet computers are a tempting option for people who want something they can take with them everywhere they go.

These devices are excellent, flexible creations that can perform a variety of functions for the people who purchase them; however, there are things that laptops can do that tablets need to catch up on.

A business professional or student that has to create documents for a particular project will have a hard time doing it on a tablet.

It all comes down to how good they are at using a touch screen keyboard.

Since tablets just barely got touch screen keyboard technology, the chances of everyone excelling at this endeavor without the addition of a peripheral are relatively low.

Finding the Right Price for Your Laptop

With any product, there’s a predominant misconception that an inexpensive item is not a good as its higher priced counterparts.

In the case of laptop computers, you will add more to the purchase price when you increase the capabilities of the computer you’re building.

A majority of computer users won’t need all the functionality that comes when you turn your computer into a high functioning machine.

Buying an affordable laptop doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice usefulness either. In all likelihood, the more affordable laptops on the market now are the expensive laptops of yesteryear.

Price has to be at the bottom of characteristics you’re using to evaluate each laptop you’re considering.

When price markup is excluded from the equation, the actual amount you would have to pay for the product goes down considerably.

For this reason, you should focus more on the functionality of the laptop than anything else.

Your renewed focus on what your laptop can do for you over what other people say it can do will increase the chances that you will be satisfied.

After all, your satisfaction in your devices is more important than most things.

15.6 Inch Laptops Under $400

Dell is a company that produces laptops that are can’t miss pieces of technology.

Their laptops consistently rank near the peak position for all devices in the marketplace and this version from their landmark Inspiron series in no exception.

When you consider the quality of the devices they have released over the years, it’s surprising that they haven’t made a mark in the mobile device marketplace.

That being said, whether it’s desktop or laptop computers, it’s hard to find a manufacturer that produces better products than what you get from Dell.

People who have purchased Dell computers in the past can tell you that these machines will stand the test of time.

Investing in a laptop is a risky proposition, especially if you need that laptop for an important purpose for years to come.

You have to find a computer that’s not only going to perform well right out the gate, but will also maintain that level of performance for years down the line.

Your computer can be affordable and the case of the Dell Inspiron, you won’t have to break the bank to get the device that you need.

It’s challenging to find a computer at a low price point that’s also able to do everything that you want in a laptop.

Fastest Laptop with a 15.6 Inch Screen

This speedy HP laptop is the first product from them that they had a chance to review.

It’s different from the other HP laptop we included in this review in that it is a lot higher functioning.

In fact, it’s a better machine than a lot of what has come from HP in recent years.

Rumblings have arisen from customer reviews of this product stating that the customer service is lacking and it’s too slow or has a touch pad that’s too sensitive.

For the price that this product is listed at, you’re getting a lot of computer for your money.

Toshiba has been in the computer market for many years and their products predominantly solid. Their Toshiba Satellite product is no exception.

The reviews of this product hint at weaknesses in Toshiba’s customer service; however, you will notice that there are responses from their representatives throughout this section, proving this point to be disingenuous.

It’s possible that you can find other problems associated with this machine, but for the most part, it seems that it’s an all-around solid computer for the price that’s being charged.

Between the large hard drive and fast processor, you can find a lot to do with the Toshiba Satellite laptop.

An issue arises when users attempt to downgrade this machine from Windows 8 to Windows 7.

The drivers on the machine have a tendency to not work as well when they’re forced to communicate with Windows 7.

The screen on this laptop is a sight to behold. The sky high resolution and incredible size makes viewing anything on this machine a desirable experience.

It helps that the machine has an amount of RAM and processor that allows it to respond well to any of your requests.

In terms of laptops, the HP Chromebook needs to be put in a different category.

As someone who reviewed the product aptly stated, users of this device should be used more for media consumption rather than production.

Since a majority of users won’t need to have all the bells and whistles that come with the more expensive laptops, it would be ideal for most people to purchase a laptop like HP Chromebook.

New Chromebook models have come out from other manufacturers that build upon the desirable aspects of this computer.

This laptop is suited for people who like anything and everything having to deal with Google. It’s fine tuned to take advantage of everything that comes from this great service.

Your video chats and YouTube videos are at their best here. You get 100 GB of free Google Drive storage, which gives you the opportunity to store your most important files at an offsite location.

Your favorite Google apps are built-in and there are a lot of other options in the Chrome web store.

This machine provides the average user with the opportunity to get into the laptop marketplace without having to learn too much about complicated features.

Tablet Computer Under $400

The ASUS Transformer laptop doesn’t have what a lot of people would need in terms of hard drive storage; however, it does allow you to remove the keyboard from the unit and turn the device into a touchscreen tablet computer.

Being able to take the tablet version of your computer with you when you go out is more than ideal.

When you evaluate this computer from a performance perspective, you have to consider it as more of a tablet than anything else.

The level of performance for this device would need to be increased in order for the twofold nature of this device to be successful.

In the meantime, you will find many productive uses out of your ASUS Transformer laptop.

I think that tablet computers are better because they are easy to use and easy to take with me. I don't do anything too complex so a tablet computer works great for me.
