My Gadgets Story

Updated on February 17, 2011

Gadgets are not luxuries, they just make work easier

My gadgets are everything that help me in my work and activities, They indeed make my work easier and with full concentration because I am always at the comfort of my home.

I can say that not all that I possessed are "the top of the line type" but, it really does not matter to me because the important thing is, they performed well especially at times that I needed them.

1st Laptop DELL Inspiron 1525

My Dell Laptop is already a Window Vista. It has everything that I need in a computer except that it did not have a built in camera. I like its big screen, and I relied a lot to it. It was my partner when I was doing my 30 hubs in 30 days challenge, and almost stopped working five days before my deadline. I thought I overworked it a lot for it did not have so much rest. But our IT officer said it needs to be reformat... though I lost some of my files, I am happy that  it is now back to normal now.

2nd Laptop Lenovo Ideapad S10 3C

My Second laptop is almost half the size of my first, but because it is very light and handy, it is very ideal for someone like me who needs to bring my Personal Laptop in the office or anywhere I go. Before my cousin gave it to me as a Christmas Present, I was already looking for one that I can use alternately with my Dell.

My Lenovo Ideapad has no DVD player or CD Rom, but I have a choice to buy one. This time my laptop has a built in Camera which I rarely use because as far as writing is concerned, I haven't seen the benefit of having a built in camera in my laptop yet.. guess I am still exploring that part.

Generic Wireless Mouse

Although Laptop computers have built in mouse, I still prefer to use a separate mouse if I have a choice. Along with my Lenovo Laptop, my cousin also gave me this wireless mouse which really fits its handy size.

The wireless mouse is battery operated (2 pcs. AAA battery), foldable and has a special compartment that place the device that connects the mouse to the computer, when not in use.

The mouse is very efficient. To save the battery, fold the mouse when not in use.

Polaroid Digital Camera 7mp

Pictures are very important in my articles and hubs so I really never leave home without it. My 7mp Polaroid Camera has been my partner for a year now, most of  the photos that I use in my articles and hubs were taken by this touch screen camera. Of course it was not perfect, there were times when it can't get the perfect light that I expect for a good picture, Though I am not really thinking of SLR, when I can't get the light that I want, the thought of a more professional Camera, I believe can somehow answer the problem. But the important thing is, most of the time my camera produces best photos more than disappointing ones..

My Polaroid camera is also another valuable gadget because it was a christmas gift of my cousin last 2009, The same cousin that gave me my Lenovo Laptop.

Cherry Mobile T8 Cellphone

Gadgets need not to be expensive. My Cherry Mobile T8 is good enough to answer my everyday needs. I can browse the internet when it is impossible for me to bring out my laptop, this is not a WIFI ready but at least as long as I have a load, I can use it easily when I need to check my FB.

What I like more about this phone is it has a built it Television, which allows me to watch my favorite Korean soap opera even I am still away from home. It can handle up to 8gb memory (I only use 2Gb) so I also have video collections of my favorite scene from my comfort movie.. I can also stored music collections here.. yes versatile enough..

This is also very valuable because the money I spent for this came from my earnings writing for a pet magazine... I owe this one to Peso

Apple Ipod 1Gb

My Apple Ipod was a birthday gift of my cousin, the same cousin that gave me my DELL Laptop. I can say that this piece of art is very durable because I had it in my possession since 2007. It came from the United States and my Ate Tina, sent it thru Kuya Bong (her brother)when he went there to visit.

Their youngest brother Ralph was the one who installed all the music here, and I am glad he knew my taste though he is 12 years younger.. So how this IPOD reached me added value to it.

This keeps me inspired too, while walking on my way to office and while writing all my stories.

MIni speaker,Flash drive, SD and Plug and Play

Most of the gadgets above portray a significant role in supporting my writing hobbies. My Smartbro plug and play keeps me connected to my favorite site, thru it i can email and submit my articles, and I can do research on my topics by instantly using google.

Others are devices where I stored most of my files, while the mini speaker I guess is just good enough to match my apple green Ipod.

All these devices enhance my inspiration to write but even without it, the one who loves to write can still write even if she only has a piece of paper and a pencil. 2010 is a good year for me because I was able to have almost all that I need, even if I don't expect it. Before my first laptop came, I guess I was one of the few writers who do not have their own computers , but you see it did not stop me from submitting my articles and writing my hubs... Thanks to my love ones, for their generosity, may the Lord continues to bless them abundantly and also good health.
