Nokia C3, X3 Touch and Type mobile phones
Nokia fan? Want a candy bar Nokia phone with both touch screen and keypad? Nokia has a solution for you. Nokia recently announced two new phones C3 and X3 "Touch and Type" phones(C3-01 and X3-02). Some functions of the phones are easier to touch and some are comfortable to type and these new models combine the best of both worlds. These new models will be on sale alongside the non touch screen C3(announced) and X3(available) phones. The new models are not the first from Nokia to sport both touch screen and buttons. Nokia 6708 which was discontinued long back had both these options. While models like Nokia C6, N97 have touch screen and keys, the keypad is not meant for one handed use.
Both C3 and X3 run on Series 40 6th edition and the common features include 3.5mm jack, microUSB for data and charging, 5MP camera which can take QVGA videos up to 20fps. While the C3 has an LED flash, the X3 lacks a flash. Both phones have resistive touchscreens with 240x320 resolution. The phones can be customised with different themes and homescreen widgets and are social networking ready. While the keypad is most likely going to be used for calling and texting, most other functionality will be easier with the touchscreen.

This phone is very slim at just 9.6mm which I think is the slimmest so far in Nokia. The phone looks great. The keypad is slightly different from the normal keypads. The *, # and 0 keys are organised vertically and form the fourth column of keys which takes a bit of getting used to. The keypad has a dedicated keys for music and mails

While the X3 has sharp edges and looks sharp, the C3 has curvy edges and looks bland. The keypad is minimal and has only call and end key apart from the number keys.
