RCA Viking Pro Tablet With Detahchable Keyboard

I have to tell you the RCA 10 Viking Pro Tablet is pretty nice. This is my second tablet I bought. The first one was a Samsung, pretty much the same as my phone. It is a 7 inch, and I wanted a bigger tablet, so I chose The RCA Viking Pro. These days it's not easy to choose a tablet, what with all the brands on the market, and it can very well make your head spin.

So lets talk about this tablet. The body of the tablet is matte rather then shiny, so there will not be a bunch of fingerprints, plus it is less slippery to handle. I would recommend buying a case for it, as it is always a good idea, and helps to protect the tablet. I never leave my devises naked. It is a 10.1 inch tablet ,with a 4 quad core processor and 32 GB storage, processor speed 1.40 GHz and comes with a detachable keyboard.. It also comes with The RCA handbook set right on the tablet itself , so you can read it, and refer to it when needed. It runs an Android 5.0 Lolipop. and also features:

*** 1280x800 display

*** Dual Cameras, front & rear, front webcam

*** Microphone

*** Battery Life up to 6 hours

*** HDMI Port

*** USB port

*** Micro SD port

*** Headphone jack

*** AC adapter

*** Bluetooth, and wi-fi

*** power on/off button

*** volume up/down button, located on the bottom of the tablet

*** Weighs 2 lbs 3 oz

*** WPS Office, create documents and spreadsheets

*** Android music player

*** Google play store app.

The first thing I did after taking it out of the box, was to charge it, which is recommended. Then when it was charged I turned it on and followed the directions for setting it up. i also synced it with my cellphone, and everything that was on my phone went onto the tablet. I got all my apps, plus the background screen on my phone is on my tablet as well. So I did not have to waste time going to the play store, hunting them down, plus installing them. You don't have to do that if you don't want to, as it is an option. I like to multi task so I like all my stuff to be on each device I have. Also the tablet comes with pre installed apps just like any phone or tablet.

One of the main reasons I bought it was to watch netflix and youtube, especially laying in bed at night. I also like to use headphones with mine. The video quility is great on it. Clear and crisp. I think the volume is pretty decent on it, and the speaker is on the back of the tablet. You can use an external speaker if you want to. Also you can use Chrome, Opera or Browser. I usually use Chrome, but I tried Opera which I was not farmiliar with, and I like it, and it is pretty fast. It has a detachable keyboard, which some people say is cramped, but you have to remember it is a tablet after all, not a laptop. It also has buttons that can control the screen. You can control the sound volume, There is a button for screenshot, search, mail, screen off button etc.Personally I like to use the keyboard on the tablet, which comes stock, but you can get an app for many great keyboards at the play store. I always change my keyboard on my phone and other tablet. Also with the keyboard you can dock the tablet to the keyboard in a few different positions to suit your liking. You can use it as a stand for your tablet.

As far as the camera goes, it was ok, I did not really play with it. I took one picture with it of my TV, and it looked pretty good, but I don't really plan on taking any pictures with it or making videos with it. But then again if you don't like it, you can get tons of camera apps at the play store. However 10 inches is kinda hard to hold up to take a picture . Just my thoughts. I can't tell you about game performance yet, as I have not downloaded any yet, but when I do, I will update.

The speed of the RCA 10 Viking Pro tablet is pretty darn fast, and I did not have any issues with loading pages so far. I have had the tablet for 3 weeks and use it everyday. Oh and also another good thing to take note of is the fact it has not gotten overheated while in use, and the other night I watched netflix for 3 hours straight with no problem.

So I would really recommend the RCA 10 Viking Pro Tablet to anyone looking to buy one. I bought mine at Walmart on Rollback for $125.00 plus tax, it is regular like $145.00. You can also visit RCA's website at www.rcatablets.com And you can also visit Walmart online .
