Piles of Rubber Bands

Do you have any stray rubber bands filling up drawers or creating clutter on counter tops throughout your house? Well I used to until I decided to put make them into a space saving, easily accessible, colorful rubber band ball.

I took a plastic ball that I had on hand and started wrapping all those loose rubber bands around it. It was that simple. Whenever a rubber band comes into my home it gets stretched onto the rubber band ball unless its being used for something.

Where do all these rubber bands come from? My daily newspaper typically comes wrapped in one and the broccoli and asparagus I purchase at the grocery store is usually held with a wide purple or white rubber band.

It's a simple idea that saves space and loose rubber bands from floating around your house. I imagine your cats have fun finding them though:)

Good idea! My cats seem to find rubberbands frequently that I do not remember coming into the house. I generally throw them away but this is a fun way to save them. I might even remember where they are!

It is a great bouncy ball Nell, and my grandson and I bounce it around my kitchen until it takes off on us. Bouncing rubber balls in the house is not a good idea.
