Small Cross Body Sling Bag is Perfect for iPads and Similar Tablets - Less is More

Updated on July 31, 2011

Cross Body Messenger Bag for an iPad or Similar Tablet

Tablets such as the iPad are so popular that whole accessory industries have formed around them. Bags to carry them in are not in short supply but ones that really work in unique ways are.

The Cocoon iPad Sling Bag is one that can be described as unique and can help us to stay organized at the same time. It is not overly small or overly large - it measures approximately 11 inches tall x 8.5 inches wide x 2.5 inches deep.

The Cocoon iPad Sling Bag is designed to accommodate the iPad but there is no reason that it could not accommodate other similarly sized tablets or small netbooks.

Organization begins in the inside of the bag with a Grid-It System insert.

A Grid-It System is basically a fabric covered "soft-firm" board with elastic straps sewn onto it going different directions. Cables, flash drives and similar small gadgets can be slipped between the elastic straps for secure keeping. If you wish not to use the Grid-It System it can removed from the bag.

There is a pocket on the outside of the CoCoon iPad Sling Bag that is designed to hold an iPhone. The pocket is clear and the iPhone can be operated through the clear plastic window while in the pocket.

The CoCoon iPad Bag is useful for carrying just the necessities. There is room for a wallet, a few accessories and small gadgets. It will seldom be so full that it is uncomfortable to carry. The fabric is durable and resists dirt. If you need to carry more stuff - consider tucking the CoCoon bag inside a larger bag for convenience. I carry a similar bag from Case Logic and it is perfect as a purse that accommodates my iPad 2.

If you are aware of Sling bags then you know how they are designed to fit across the body. A cross body bag is great for bike riders or for anyone that needs to have their hands free. The bag sits close to the body either to the front or to the bag - it is your choice. The Strap is long and can be adjusted. The bag can be carried over the shoulder but the strap will seem to be twisted - however, once you put is cross body the strap is perfectly straight.
