Solar Power is for Everyone

Updated on May 9, 2011

As the world moves towards the much dreaded energy crisis, everyone needs to do their part to reduce their dependency on non-renewable resources of energy such as fossil fuels. The sun has been around for millions of years and will be here long after we are gone, so it stands to reason that we should harness the power of the sun and use it for our daily energy needs.

If you ever thought about installing solar panels on your home for energy, you are not alone. Perhaps you thought that it was too expensive or that solar energy is only for hippies. Solar energy is for everyone.

This energy source is abundant and renewable and is one of the most environmentally friendly sources of power available today, next to wind power.

Solar energy will quickly reduce your monthly electrical bills and possibly even eliminate them. In some cases, you can even sell your excess or unneeded power back to your electrical company.

Shrinking budgets and escalating utility bills are making the installation of solar panels more and more attractive to homeowners.  The historical problem of expensive installation is no longer a problem as there are many guides and instruction manuals available online for a fraction of the cost of commercial installation.
