Theft on the internet

Well it all started out so innocently. We have been looking for a puppy ..or two and stumbled upon an ad in a Toronto online called Now Magazine from a woman that was going to give away her puppies because she was ill. We decided that we would see if we could get them, they were adorable small and cute and I was hooked.

I contacted the owner immediately and that is when it all began. The following is an email journey that truly you wont believe the response. At first we were incredibly happy and excited that she wanted us to have these gorgeous babies. However, after a couple emails I went to send some friends a picture of our new family members and that is when I discovered that she was a fraud and it all was a scam to get money. You will be able to see the conversations that we had and than the most amazing... the justification for stealing. My conversation with a thief.

This is the first message that started everything.

OMG They are sooooo beautiful. We have been looking to find 2 puppies and hope that you would consider our family. They are called Crysta and Ken,Female and Male pups respectively.These pups are totally cute and bubbly pups. fun, playful and full of life. their fur is a soft, beautiful black and tan. They have the cutest little face with sweet innocent eyes and button noses.Very nice body and bone structures,Crysta weighs 2.4lbs and we expect her to be 3.6 full grown while Ken weighs 2.1 and he is expected to be 3.2lbs.Nice size for lap dogs,you can carry them with you anywhere.

They are Current on vaccinations,
Just 15 weeks and have an excellent level of potty and house training.
Both have received their first puppy shots
(DHLPP) + Corona + de-wormer at 7 weeks old and had the
second puppy shots (DHLPP) + Corona + de-wormer at 10 weeks old. So you
will only need to give the third when they turn 14 that is next week or you can carry it over to Monday.anyway you will see that in their health records.

In addition to their treats of food as on my webpage,I feed them with Diamond dry and Pedigree canned dog food.We also add herbs, vitamins, healthy powder, and wheat germ oil for maximum health daily and I will give advice on feeding and other tips whenever need
arises.I will also give with diet plan and I wish you follow .

They come with complete Puppy Pack (Royal Canin Dry Puppy Food,Home Again Microchip,Chew toys,Toothbrush,Blanket,Liver treats,Shampoo and gadgets)

I am not selling these puppies,I am willing to separate them but I cant tell you which one is better companion because both are adorable. I cannot keep them for health reasons so you can have both if you wish. Take note I am not selling them nor giving them to brokers or breeders .If you know you have love in your heart and in your family for a new addition,then you can take these puppies and spoil them.

To Cris - Good Morning

I am so sorry to hear that you are not well. I know how difficult that is as I went through the past 17 months of having to try to recover with a car accident and I am finally now able to reclaim my life. Both Rick and myself are 53 and have 2 children Kalyn 19 and Ryan 24. Both are in college. We live in Toronto in a condo and have a very good life and we all are extremely happy to add both of the puppies to our home.

We had been looking for 2 puppies as we believe that they need companionship and we have a home of love that will definitely be shared with both of them. Rick is a master carpenter and I am run websites out of my home. I would be with them all of the time. Its so amazing that last night we began our search again for 2 puppies. I have seen a couple that were pretty cute and was just closing my computer down when you add was there. Immediately we both said how incredibly cute that both of your puppies are and even if they were not free we wanted to talk to you about them.

Chrysta and Ken are absolutely Beautiful and would be an amazing addition to our family.I promise you they will be loved and well taken care of. You are living in Toronto? Please know that you would Not have to be out of their lives, I would love to also share them with you and be in touch. I know by your message that this is a very difficult thing you are having to do and want to have you still involved. How much is your phone bill????? Maybe we can take care of it? - Terri

I am so touched by your email and I have no doubts that you are the right family for the puppies.they are so adorable and I assure you they have no health issues.I am so happy and I dont regret letting them come to you.Whereabouts is Kripling and Dundas,is it in Canada? I am in Mableton in the USA but that is not a problem because I can ship them to you.
I want you to promise me-
-You will have to administer the third set of shots this weekend or Monday.
-You will have to follow the diet plan.
-You will send me updates and pics as they grow.
I am impatiently waiting to read from you.

(At this time I knew it was a fake since I had been online and I was going to send some pictures to friends and the photos had tags attached to them. (The website is still up and running as of the time I am writing this article so you can check it and see the tags)

(After I wrote this I did NOT Get a Response immediately.. but I knew already that they were a FAKE)

Hi Cris, Your in Georgia? is that correct? I would prefer that they not be shipped and that we pick them up.I hate the airlines and all of the delays that can happen.

Is it possible to just pick them up from you. I have friends in Georgia and we can arrange for them to probably pick them up until we can get there.. or have you keep them until we arrive on the weekend? Terri

NO RESPONSE -- OF COURSE... so I sent out Messages to Now Magazine (Who immediately pulled the AD..and the owner of Paco to warn them that there photos were being used to defraud people. What happens next still has me in disbelief.

You need to tell GOD .. maybe he will help find the right way for you to live and wouldnt allow you to be thinking you deserve to steal from others. I STEAL FROM NO ONE!!! I make my own way.. WORK HARD and know that I have NOT Caused anyone heartache .. the people you take from WORK HARD for their life too.. so its ok to take away someone elses food from their mouths.. PITY!

I have prayed all my life and barely survived Terri, life is harder than you life is harder than you know,I can bet my life you cant imagine or even guess how it is to leave with less than 1/2dollar everyday.You can work hard because you have opportunities,just make the most of it but dont give me any lectures about God and Honesty,because everyday I wish I was honest.

Good eye. You are in Canada, saw the ad in the magazine, recognized the stolen puppies (in California), and somehow found Paco's website?

The puppies shown were stolen and recovered. Two dogs are still missing. We have one of the recovered puppies, Paco. The breeder is a dear friend of ours, and I have alerted her to the fraud pictures, and I have also contacted the owners of that webpage.

The contact us page for delayorkies says that they are in San Francisco.

Thanks so much for amazing ability to put the pieces of this puzzle together and find me. We'll get after the fraudsters.

YES! It does feel good to catch a thief.. it takes everyone to realize this happens online and to be cautious of it... How easy would it have been for me to send them the $250. to ship these beautiful puppies... I am thankful that I didn't lose anything to them... but I know that I am probably one of the few that would not have.

To recieve a message from a thief that tries and justifies their actions still absolutely amazes me... There is NO Justification for taking from someone what is not rightfully theirs..PERIOD!
