Twitter is annoyingly addictive, its official, look its like this i never set out to join facebook and i never set out to join twitter it just kinda happened.I started out on facebook after my wife mentioned it too me about 18 months ago and i must admit i didn't use it that often, but eventually after a few weeks i found it an absolute necessity to post status updates telling everyone what the hell i was up to, be it gardening, drinking in the pub or suffering a hangover, it needed to be said and up to be honest with you i check facebook every day without fail although its appeal is starting to wain slightly and I'll tell you why.....Bloody twitter.
Ok so work was a bit slow and i thought i know i'll have a look at my twitter account that i had set up 4 or 5 months previous, then whilst i was there i thought i would add a couple of celebrities one being Lilly Allen because i find her rather amusing and another was Alan Carr for exactly the same reason, then before you know it Lilly Allen is trying to sell a watch and adding pics of it, then Quinton "rampage" Jackson is taking the piss out of Forrest Griffin (ufc fighters) and all of a sudden im hooked, its like having a brand new copy of heat magazine delivered to your door every day.
Ok so half the celebrities on twitter are not the real person,so how can you tell who is real and who is fake, well generally speaking the real celeb will have a picture of themselves in the background or a designed page, then they will always have a link to their website and a foolproof method is to go back through their tweets (A brief description of what they are up to) and check for any pics they may have left with them in it.
So in summing up although twitter is annoyingly addictive it is also quite good fun and although simple can become quite involving and take away your social life somewhat so be careful....You have been warned.p.s anybody want to add me on twitter its warchild75!!!
A fun social networking site
