Fixing A Wet Cell Phone
Drop your cell phone in water?
Many people drop their cell phones into water and break them all the time. I know I've been a victim of this once. There is a solution.
The first step after dropping your phone in water is to immediately take the battery out. Usually, the reason why phones stop working after dropping them in water is because you don't allow the phone and battery time to dry before turning it back on. This will make the phone short out.
Next put your phone and batter inside a container filled with rice. This sounds silly but, putting your phone inside a container with rice is the best method because it soaks moisture up easily. Make sure you use white rice or this will not work.
Finally, and trust me this is the tough part. You must let your phone sit in rice for at least 36 hours. If you do not wait the full 36 hours this will not work. Do not try and turn your phone on before the required time.
I have had this happen to me using this method really works. Just remember to wait and be patient, I know its hard not to use your cellphone but just keep in mind its better than going through the trouble of getting a new one.
