Windows 7 a Winner at First Review
Well Windows 7 is out on the street and so far it looks like a significant step forward over Vista. With some new additions that should make it more user friendly for a long time to come. I haven’t yet changed my Laptop from XP pro, but the desktop is doing well with it and I am monitoring its stability. So far no issues with old program compatibility so they seem to have got it right this time.
The Jump List is pretty cool and the Shake it up feature is very helpful when you have a lot of open windows (that statement is pretty significant in itself if you’ve had the multiple window problems I had w Vista). I don’t yet have a touch screen PC (but will probably by the end of the year) so I can’t really comment on the compatablity but if it all works as stated the multiple touch feature found on many 3g phones will be an even more comfortable advance.
Here is a link to Amazon.com Windows 7 resource center where you can check out what’s new and check the blogs for problems and comments. As I said at the Top Looks like a winner, well worth the pennies if you’re running Vista of any kind.
