How to recover contacts from Exchange 2007?
All users in our company are using outlook 2003 to connect to the Exchange 2007 no .pst on their hard drive it's all saved on the exchange. No "use cache exchange mode".
I just recently applied a new windows xp sp3 image(Acronis) on 6 machines. They are using roaming profiles so I also had to wipe out their old profile on the server and put a new one. Out of those 6 machines only 2 had their contacts missing in outlook but they still had their emails.
How is it possible that their contacts were wiped out and still have their emails if I'm assuming their mailbox is corrupt?

I just wondered if it was the contacts that are missing or just the Outlook auto complete entries - I have had several customers report the same issue but they didn’t have any contacts in the first place, just the auto complete feature switched on.
If it is this the it is quite simple to resolve - just copy the .nk2 file from the old location to the one, renaming the file to make sure that the name is the same as the Outlook profile name used with the new profile. The default location for the file is c:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
Or search the workstation computers for .ost files. Once you have them you can download utilities to extract the contacts or example as OST to PST Converter Kit. Once you find the files search for "ost to pst conversion". https://www.converterkits.com/osttopstconverter.html
Thanks for the advice. Your link was very useful for me! Thank you!
