Find the Best Digital Camcorders for Your Specific Needs

Updated on May 28, 2013

Buy Yourself A New Digital Video Camera This Year! Why Not?

Whether you are an aspiring filmmaker or someone who wants to capture your family's special moment, a new digital video camera can help you meet those needs. In the past, these home gadgets were these large, clunky devices that you had to hold up on your should and they seemed like they weighed a ton. That is not the case these days. Thank goodness, right?

In fact, you can get one of these small electronics that is so small and thin that it will slide right into a pocket! Well, I was in the market for a new gadget recently to take on vacation so that I could record the highlights. I did a little comparison shopping and came up with a list of the top 3 best options for the money for 2012 - 2013. If you want to know the best of the best, take a look at the Amazon Best Sellers in Camcorders list or keep reading my picks below.

Or, keep reading down below for my top picks.

Best Price Digital Camcorders For Your Family

Where To Buy Cheap Digital Camcorders For Home Use

When shopping for a new home recorder, there are a lot of local stores that you can visit to check prices and make a purchase. Everywhere from Wal-Mart to Sears to Best Buy carries some of these in stock all the time. Prices are mostly about the same between all the stores, unless one is having a big sale.

I always like to compare in-store prices with online prices since online is often cheaper. In my research, I did find that Amazon has the cheapest prices on these electronic items. Sometimes, the price was actually the same as a local store, but since Amazon does not charge sales tax in my state (and most states), it was actually cheaper to buy one of these for myself online on Amazon. And, Amazon offers free shipping!

If you are shopping locally, I do suggest that you do a price comparison online as it just might be cheaper to have it shipped to your home! You never know until you take a look.
