Best Free Stock Photo Sites

Updated on June 11, 2018

Stock Photography Sites

Stock photography sites provide a well needed service not only to the internet community but to whoever may need graphics for whatever purpose.

Whether you just need a photo to spice up your hub, make an article more attractive with the use of an picture or to use on a brochure or website template, you can find some images for use at internet free stock photography sites.

Most of the images on free stock photo sites are submitted by users who are amatuer or professional photographers. Some of the photos may not be high quality and are offered free while some of the higher quality photos which have been edited using photo editing software are sold for as low as $1. These higher quality photographs are used on website templates, in magazines and in brochures and other commercial productions.

Google Images?

You can do a search by keyword and bring up relevant images on Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines. This however is not a recommendation!

While you may not get into trouble for downloading some photos, it is not recommended that you "right click and save picture" when browsing these images. Some of the images may have copyrights which means that you could get into legal trouble if you do use these images on your website, blog or other content.

For this reason it is best to stick to free stock photo sites when you need pictures for your website, blog, hub or other content.

Unsplash - Best Free Stock Photo Site

This is just my opinion, but I would say that the best free stock photo site is Unsplash.

I always use this site when I need photos to add to a hub or landing page or website that I own.

The best thing about them is that I can search their large database for a picture and I always find one that matches what I'm looking for.

Another good thing about them is they do not require you to link back to their website nor do they have their name on the photos. Some stock photo sites will let you use their photos but you have to link back to their site or they have their domain name on the photos.

Unsplash was started years ago as a side project where they would email users free photos they could use on their own projects.

Today they have a huge collection of contributors and photos and almost every reputable from big corporations to small websites and blogs use them.

Make Money Submitting Photos.

Stock photo sites get their photos from thousands of users worldwide. Some sites offer a community where its users can upload and share photos while some others pay users for photos.

There are hundreds of stock photo sites on the internet some of which pay users for photos.

The DigiCam Cash System by Jarrod Hardcastle was written to show people how they could earn money taking digital pictures and earn money by submitting them on the internet.

Besides submitting them to stock photo sites the ebook shows some other ways to earn money with your digital camera all through the power of the internet.

The DigiCam Cash System will show you:

  • 15 places you can submit your photos right now and get paid. This list saves you the time it would spend trying to find these places.
  • How you can earn $500 - $1000 taking photos of cars in your area and listing them for sale on ebay motors.
  • How to earn residual income every month from every photo you upload. This means you get paid as long as your pictures are listed on the site even if you don't upload another photo.
  • How to turn your photos into screensavers and other money making products
  • a lot more...

Visit the DigiCam Cash System website for more.
