In the 60s and 70s despite cold war and controversies, many Americans scientists were working overnight  to develop high yielding varieties of Wheat and cereals .Dr. Borlaug was one of them, his dedication and efforts which developed "Lorma Roho"  a Mexican wheat  into high yielding and short duration crop.Dr.Borlaug worked in India and helped to develop high yielding wheat varieties ,India became self sufficient.Dr. Borlaug won Nobel award for his pioneering work for new seeds varieties
In India , it was a fashion to criticize any American  who comes for project development, very unfair.
Agriculture university by name Dr Borlaug is proposed and will be set up in Madhyapradesh.
This is India's  gratitude towards great scientist.
