Man and Technology: a gift and a curse

When I was a kid, the blocky computers, giant cellphones, humongous video recorder, VHS, Nintendo & all that good stuff. I don't know about you, but myself & kids in my neighborhood were always outside, active in P.E; the awesome techies were business pleasures mostly. We weren't consumed with that stuff. It didn't take over our lives...

    But now.

There's probably a little kid playing on a tablet, having feign doctor notes to get out of P.E, schools dropping P.E, and etc. Nobody hardly ever goes outside any more.

I do believe that technology as our greatest gift will be our greatest downfall. (Wall-E, anybody?) We can do so much with a smartphone or tablet at one time that its hard for people to step away from those devices. You can ask anyone, "If you were stranded, what would you have?" I bet you that 90% of people would say either phone, iPad, or something technological.

    Humans. We're our own destructions.
