I replaced the igniter on my whirlpool natural gas dryer and it still won't heat up what else...

I replaced the igniter because the dryer would not heat after that the dryer heats up some times...and then will not heat sometimes

What would cause my dryer filter to fill up with very soft material. About an inch thick.My dryer filter was full of stuff that looked and felt like soft batting. I had nothing in the dryer that would have caused that....

when i put the option heat my dryer over heats and shuts off what do you think is wrong?my dryer works on no heat option but in the option of heat it over heats and shuts off
