How well does the Evo smartphone work as a mobile hot-spot?

I do not have dedicated Internet service at my home and am considering using the Evo as both phone and Internet service. I have 4G service in my area.

one thing i would watch out for. Most companies charge you a lot for using your phone as home internet as well. At least in Canada they do. I would look into that, if you can get an unlimited data plan, they still might charge you additionally. hooking up your computer to your phone to use interent is called tethering.  sometimes there are loopholes though. If you can avoid the tethering charge, you still can't download tons of data even though you have an unlimited data plan. The cell towers aren't usually meant for large amounts of bandwidths.
