Why must I sign in to unsubscribe to some sites?
We have the do not call list for telephones, when are we going to have a one click unsubscribe? It is difficult to unsubscribe from my smart phone so I will never sign up or enter any site mandating this.
Does this bother you? Or is it just me?
If you don't sign in how do they know who is unsubscribing??
The asking for signing up is entirely for security purpose and identification.
Identification: When you sign up, it identify that it is "you". The site can't identify you among its users if you don't signup.
Security: When you are signing up to unsubscribe, it ensures you security. If someone is trying to hack your account with the site, they will not be able to do it due to this sign up.
Yes, The process is little bothering but considering the risk, it is better to do it.
