Why is there so much spam on this forum?
I am a member of several different forums on other sites. I might see spam on one of the others every now and then, but it seems like there is a ton of spam on this Q&A every day. How are these other sites battling spam so effectively, while Hubpages seems to struggle with spam? It is common for there to be twenty or more spam posts on the Q&A every day.....
Spam posts pile up when there aren't moderators around to delete them, but when the mods are online, they often delete spam faster than I can report it.
One way to battle spam is to report the messages as soon as you see them.
