What would it take for you to reject Google?

A hypothetical question. I am curious about using the web. Google is the overwhelming dominant search engine as of today. It is ranked number 1. For most users, they are very comfortable doing their searches using google. However, we are aware of the invasion of privacy that has been increasing. Google captures and saves all search terms and use that information to personalized ads directed towards each user. The question is this - as Google pushes the envelop, at what point will the average user reach a breaking point or tipping point where they will reject Google and switch to another search
