I've found an iPhone app for Hubpages but it doesn't really do what I want it to do (let me know my author ranking, let me produce new hubs or more likley, modify and publish existing). Does anyone know of any up and coming apps that may help?

Yes-  the only way I can do any editing on the iPhone is to do it using safari browser. I wish I was an app developer - there must be an opportunity there for someone!?

If you read my hub "Hubpages App for iPhone" it explains some of the features you are requesting there although some of the functions are not yet working correctly larryfreeman with hubpages said they are still working on an update for the app.

Edit a Published Hub with the iPhone app

To edit a published hub we would click on the my account tab. Find the hub tab then scroll to the hub we want to edit. This next page brings up the Stats of the hub. Listing stats are by day, week, month total and graph of views. At the top is the title of the hub. Click on the title which will bring up the hub article in full view for editing.
Being familiar with the website and edit functions is suggested before editing with the iPhone to prevent any accidental mistakes.

    Hi Bluehoop, WoodsmensPost, Nordichuks,

Thanks very much for the feedback on the HubPages iphone app.

We are in the process now of a major update to our iphone app that will add the following features:

    * Photos -- you will be able to add a photo from your iphone to forum posts, questions/answers, and status updates.

    * Site Search -- you can do a simple search across hubs, forum posts, question/answers, profiles, and topic pages.

    * Short Cuts for starting a new forum thread, asking a question, and status updates over the feed.

Unfortunately, create/edit a hub with an iphone app will still not available.  It's high on our list of what we want to do next so hopefully we will be adding it soon.

Thanks for requesting your current author ranking.  I'll add that to the list of features.  It might still make it in the current release.

The app is expected to be available by the first week of November.  :-)

    -Larry

Thanks again larryfreeman for the latest update I will be watching for the update. I am a avid iPhone user and HubPages has become my most enjoyable site so I like to view my comments, latest forum topics and occasionally edit a hub on the go. I also research and read other Hubbers hubs. The hubpage article I wrote needs a minor tweak but I also have plans for my inside look at the HubPages iPhone App which I am currently working on. I firmly believe with the release of the iPad and its competitors that the HubPages app will become more popular in the future. I travel or I am on the go a lot of the time and I don't carry my PC or Laptop. Thanks again and I will try to keep you informed with minor bugs if any are found in the forum section where the original topic was started.

    Happy Hop Hopping WoodsmensPost

Oh that's right I do remember reading here on the forums that you were using an iPad. Everything is cool except I can't edit or start new capsules. At one point I was able to using the web via iPhone but that has stopped not sure why. So I have to make mental notes. Tonight I just am reading forums and hubs some... work is slow. I just updated 7 other apps but HP wasn't one of them. It will come Pcunix until then we just watch the squirrels gathering NUTS.  3 of my neighbors are missing I hope your ok.  lol kidding

Some of my neighbors are missing too, but we're in a retirement community so they'll probably just gone South for the winter :-)

Yes, it's the editing of capsules that doesn't work.  Mildly annoying.
