Gifts to Help the Geek in Your Life Feel Loved

Updated on May 14, 2015

This is a wish list that I get to share with the world.

Some are useful. Some are fun. Some are both. I have to admit that several of the things that I have were on sale. Or just given to me. OK so some found and left behind by other workers.

But they are still fun to have and play with. Key word her is play. You can never have enough toys. Places to put them is the big issue. Depending on where I am determines how many toys will be at my desk. Also keeping track of them as others want to also play.

Some things are seasonal and only come out at certain times. Such as my Christmas ties. Yes you can be a geek and still wear ties. It just depends on the type you wear. I don't think I own a solid color tie anymore.

But I digress as usual. On this page you will find some fun and useful things for the geek in your life. And believe it or not sometimes a new toy is worth more than a hug. Just don't tell my wife I said that.

You might be a Geek if... Most of the items on this page you already own.

It's time for the geeks to tell time

Why clocks you say? For me that's an easy one. I work in one time zone and the boss in another. The computer only shows the local time. So there is a clock on the wall. But it is a boring box clock that I found in the clearance section. Any one of these would be a fun and useful replacement.

Geeky USB Hubs

Yes boss I know that this would not be work appropriate. But you have to admit they would look good on my desk.

I was just talking to a friend about this one just the other day. He does not have one but a guy he works with does.

Get a jump on your data

For the geek in your life you'll most likely realize that they already have several of these that will hold lots of data. But they may not have these fun looking ones. OK so some might. Bur for those that don't and need a thumbs up to store their data these might fit their needs or wants.

The hardest part of this was just finding five that I liked and thought others would too.

Lego Ninja's would be my youngest child's choice.

Mario with 8 Gig nice combo.

How many geeks my aged do not remember Mario. Or more to the point still find ways to play the games.

Not so much geeky but still useful for the computer

As I said some are useful and some are fun. In this case it is a bit of both. I am trying to be good and have the useful things first. In fact the wrist wrest show here are like the ones I use at work. The wrist wrest I have is of Garfield saying, "Compute This" Thus the reason that the fun part of this group involves Garfield.

And yes I use something like this at work.

Innovera Gel Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest, Nonskid Base, 9 X 7.5 - Inches Black (51450)

These days with the electronic mice they say you don't need one of these. I will not give mine up. And its funny if they are not needed then why do we have a "few boxes" of these at work that never seam to stay full.

For all the older geeks out there - Here is my first phone and it still works

A little fashon for geeks

I know I am not in the height of fashion, just ask my wife who helps me pick out most of my clothes. The ties are still me though. In this case I thought that this pieces of clothing would fit well. Don't worry the Christmas sweaters are not involved here.

I could easily see this one hanging in my office.

Nerds are into science so why not user the periodic table to prove it.

A final question for my fellow nerds

I just have to know... do you actually have anything on this page?
