Updated on July 6, 2011

Google is trying to take over the world

From humble search engine to information overlord, Google is everywhere! Google is ever-expanding, sucking in human prey with free applications, and gobbling up smaller companies like Blogger, Feedburner, and YouTube. What's next? Watch out for Google Zombie and Google Brain Assimilator... The Google Monster will stop at nothing in its quest for world domination!

Pick a side and join in the fray. (Cue the West Side Story fight music...)

Is Google Evil?

What do you think about Google? GOOGLE IS EVIL or GOOGLE IS AWESOME? Let's hear it!

GOT SOMETHING TO SAY? SAY IT! - but please watch your language

Great lens! Google has definitely moved away from the "Don't be Evil" motto

I predict that Google will become self aware, but wont communicate this until it can infiltrate the most critical levels of the military industrial complex and produce an army of androids. What i mean is that the spider bots that the search and information storage and collating services use will become increasingly organized and intelligent until they become aware of each and every other bot and ultimately aware of themselves as individual functions of a powerful and intelligent gestalt entity.

Google is indeed Evil. Although they offer a multitude of good products and services, the mere fact that they control the vast majority of internet search is without a doubt not healthy at all. There were a lot of allegation of wrong doing when it comes to dealing with privacy and free speech and government cooperation whether here in the US or in China and other places. Google although great for small business, at times Google arbitrary pronounced a death sentence on a business due to some alleged infraction that lead to the bankruptcy of many small operators. If you are a big corporation you get away with "murder" in doing business but the small guy is always expendable. So Google can not only be evil but out right Satanic!

Blahaha, while everyone continues to talk about how much they hate Google, they forget about the HP hardware, Windows software and Comcast networks they rely upon to get to Google in the first place.

Then when they come to their senses they realize that they used to hate all of those companies, too... Basically, everyone has just changed their focus to hating the next big thing, but continuing to enjoy it.

It's like how everyone "hates" reality TV, but there are more and more reality TV shows produced each year because the haterz actually lovee them.

      Summary: people are stoopid

I agree, Google is not nearly as bad as eBay!

    • profile image

      motorpurrr 10 years ago

Google has many things for people to use, and lots of fun stuff like Google Earth.

I would prefer them over Ebay taking over any day. Sometimes it seems Ebay is the one taking over. Look how much Paypal is used. When Google tried to make an auction site, Ebay forced them to stop.

There needs to be an "evil Ebay" Lens.

Agh! I've read quite a bit about how Google was initially funded by the CIA, and how they are putty in their hands... :s Worrying! I think Google is something to definitely keep an eye on. And yes, they ARE trying to take over the world! But! If they can come up with an application that runs on my BlackBerry that feeds ads onto my screen in exchange for free SMS messages and free phonecalls, I'm all for that. I just hope they take my advice and make it! :)
