How to Install Apps from the Opera App Store on an LG Rumor Touch- The Willie Files Episode 3
Opera web browser has a mobile app store too. LG Rumor Touch users have not been able to download apps from this store because the format used is with the JAD first instead of the JAR.
If you are just looking to install apps and games without a bunch of steps, this is not the hub for you. Look at the list below and go to "Install Java Apps on LG Rumor Touch" for the easy instructions. These instructions are for those who want to test the limits of their phone for the sake of technological interest.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, you need to catch up on the basics.
In order to take advantage of the screenshots and instructions on how to download from the Opera Mobile App Store, you will need to download and install an Opera Mod provided by Willie.
Download Mod HERE!
Once installed, follow the instructions and screenshots to Opera Mobile App Store downloading glory!
Please direct questions on the process or the Opera Mod to Willie in SF.

.jar and .jad file mobile download tool.

This tool has mostly solved the .jar and .jad direct download problem for the VM Rumor Touch! At least, until the service provider proxy blocks MY site directly... Or perhaps until my webhosting gets shut...
A Note from BigSuperSqid- The Guy Behind FileConfusicator
I wanted to point out, a lot of downloads through the FileConfusicator have failed because the URLs pasted in are not links to files, but rather the address of download pages.
To improve the odds of a proper download, please make sure that the URL you pasted into the FileConfusicator has a filename at the end. The URL shoud end in .xxx where .xxx represents a file extension, such as, but not limited to, .jad .jar .gif .3g2 or .mp3
As an extra note, some .jad files are delivered as .htm instead of .tmp files. These still contain the Midlet-Jar-URL when edited, but have an html error message prepended to the .jad, so extra editing is required to use these .jad files if you don't want to just generatoe a new .jad from the .jar with an app line centurion, jad2jar, or minicommander.
Some good-looking links still wind up as 0-byte files, or .htm error messages when downloaded through the FileConfusicator, I'm not sure why yet but the page is still under development. It's my second software ever made public, and is still rather beta. I'm hoping others enjoy it as much as I do, and feedback on errors or problems is a good way to get the site improved.
I got it to work!
