Repairs in laptop PCs are more involved that in desktop PCs. In most of the cases, however, it requires just the replacement of a specific part that has been damaged.

Most companies that produce laptops have a customer support system that will replace affected pieces, or even the whole machine. Usually this kind of repair is part of the standard package sold with the laptop. In other cases, however, consumers have to buy a separate package that includes repairs and replacement of affected parts.
