Closed our eBay store and moved to Bonanzle/Bonanza! UPDATED!

Updated on June 17, 2013

Don't waste your time with Bonanza aka Bonanzle they are a big joke!

I joined ebay back in July 2002 as a hobby seller. It didn't take long before it became a full time business. I was doing very well and I enjoyed ebay so much back in the day. I started buying and selling sports cards and memorabilia. This was something I enjoyed very much. I was working full time and selling full time on ebay after a short while. Eventually my business evolved from sports card and memorabilia to selling Home & Garden décor. It didn't take long before I became a Power Seller and kept my status until I left in December 2008.

Then all the changes started to go into effect one after the other. I left eBay mostly for the same reasons as many others who have left. I got tired of the DSR crap and the search manipulation they were doing. Ebay was no longer enjoyable, it now had become very stressful.

I heard about this site Bonanzle aka Bonanza not sure where, could have been on the Power Sellers Unite site. Anyway this was a new site still in beta. I joined in September 2008. Bonanzle had a totally different atmosphere, it's a very friendly and relaxing environment unlike eBay. At Bonanzle it's FREE to list and a small final value fee if your item sells. Bonanzle is a store format no auctions here. Bonanzle grew fast everyday more than any other site competing with eBay. Many of us who joined the site saw a lot of potential and we went out and spread the word. It is because of all the people who worked so hard that this site grew so fast.

UPDATE:

It is almost 3 years later and all I can say is.....

BONANZA SUCKS!!!!!!!!

In the three years that have passed I am sorry to say I am not happy with the direction Bonanza has taken!

First off they made it very clear that they will not be advertising their site. They would prefer all of us who have worked so hard already to continue spreading the word. Are they serious? Enough is enough already! It is 3 years that has passed it is time for Bonanza to step up to the plate and advertise their site!

Things have changed so much that the site is nothing like it was when it first started. Many people enjoyed the simplicity of the site. There were just the basics and that was all many of us ever needed. It was very friendly and everyone in the forums was always trying to help others. It was such a wonderful atmosphere and I was very fortunate to have met so many wonderful people.

Bonanza is constantly making changes on it's site and there are way too many glitches. Checkout has always been an issue and they don't seem to care enough about it to fix the problem with it. Oh but they keep adding new games and toys to distract you of all the none working features of the site. They have added tagging, tokens, badges and god only knows what other stupid stuff.

If you are a serious seller than Bonanza is not for you. If you enjoy wasting your time in the forums and playing all the games they have on there than you will love it. The only sales on this site would be if you joined some of the many games so everyone can buy from each other. The only winner there is Bonanza because they make their fees.

I closed all of my accounts on Bonanza and now only focus on my website. I don't know how a wonderful site could have taken a wrong turn and just turn to shit?
