Dining-in at Singapore, Reasons Why I Always Love to Return
Marche at Somerset

I first visited Marchee at their branch in Vivo City, Singapore. Second visit was at their branch in Somerset Mall which is located along the famous Orchard Road. What I like about Marchee? I just like the fried potatoes that they called "rosti". Potatoes were cut thinly like string, how they make it stick together like a round cake is still a mystery to me. Customers who like it, often combine the rosti with fried egg on top or sausage With or without the sour cream. the mushroom soup goes well with my rosti combo, it is different from the cream of mushroom soup that I know. The color is brown and the texture of the soup is coarse, which highlighed the freshness of the ingredients.
There are many other mouth watering choices and the servings are good for two people. Guaranteed freshness in every food and every booth has a chef that will prepare your food according to your taste. I will definitely comeback to Marche, and I really recommend it.
Noodles at Jing House, Queensway Mall
Click thumbnail to view full-sizeJing House is just one of the fastfood chains at Queensway Mall, for someone like me and my cousin who were craving for noodles at that time, finding Jing House is a perfect thing, but what I enjoyed the most is choosing my add ons to the noodles. Everything that like in my shabu shabu was there, the balls, the shitake and long stemmed mushroom, the tofu, the crabstick and other veggies. You also have a choice to the type of noodles that you want, white, yellow, thick or thin. The price is reasonable or depending on the number of add ons that you put in your noodles or weight of the ingredients without the noodles or broth yet.
Jing house has lots to offer but the noodles were the ones that answered our cravings.
First Buffet Breakfast at Orchard Hotel
Click thumbnail to view full-sizeWhenever checked in at a 5 star hotel or any ordinary hotel, I always looked forward to the breakfast menu that they offer. I was lucky, cousin chose the Orchard hotel, which indeed offers a good breakfast buffet. Everything that you wish to see in a breakfast table, fried egg, fried bacon, cereals, bread and croissant, coffee, juice, tea, chocolate or bottled water.
During my first breakfast I had combinations of assorted bread, fried egg, bacon and sweet ham. I need to have energy because cousins and I will stroll the whole day, so I really enjoyed my breakfast but I'm too full to try everything that tickled my appetite.
Orchard hotel address is 442 Orchard road, Singspore, 17.7km NW from Changi Airport, 1 km from Nations Museum and Botsnic Garden, 2 km. China Town and Little India, and 4Km to Sentosa island.

Food Court at Vivo City
Click thumbnail to view full-sizeFrom Sentosa we went to Vivo City and found ourselves at the foodcourt looking for noodles. We found one that is similar to Jing house and indulged again with the hot soup and delicious add ons.
Midnight Snack at Tapas Bar & Bistro, Robertson Quay
Click thumbnail to view full-sizeOn my second night, my cousin and our friend Deth decided to go out for light eating. Deth brought us to Tapas Bar and Bistro at Robertson Quay. Our ordered was indeed very light... Bread and butter, Potato square in cheese, and cold cuts placed in a chopper board like tray.
2nd Breakfast at Orchard Hotel
Click thumbnail to view full-sizeStill at Orchard Hotel, I enjoyed my last breakfast in Singapore because we are going back to Manila in the afternoon. Again I indulged myself with ham, sausage, and egg. I was happy to see a big plate of fried rice served on the buffet table too. The fried rice is different from the typical fried rice that I know, it's has some kind of coconut thing that made it tasted so sweet... But beside the plate of fried rice was fried anchovies served in a small bowl. I saw one Singaporean who got a spoon of the anchovies and put it on top of the fried rice. I did the same, and it made me realized that the anchovies will neutralize the sweet taste. it tasted good anyway..
I also got some fruits like peaches to match my yogurt. Nice breakfast really.
Shokudo Japanese Coffee House at Bugis
Click thumbnail to view full-sizeThe Shokudo Japanese Coffee House is a typical snack house. After strolling at Bugis outside or inside the mall, the place is great for relaxing while killing time. Their Mango shake is their best seller, but still I chose my favorite strawberry. The Pizza is thin and tasty but very light.
Robin's Chicken. Duty Free, Changi Airport
Click thumbnail to view full-sizeEven on a few hours before the flight going to the Philippines. Cousin and I still find time to eat before boarding... We eat at Robin's Chicken, at Duty Free, Changi Airport. We ordered for Chicken Hainanese with rice, well I guess it is just right not to leave Singapore without eating the delicious chicken hainanese..
