Updated on December 10, 2015

Christmas and New Year’s will be over soon and all that’ll be left is the chilling winter. You would so love to take a vacation, but the flights and hotel prices have skyrocketed and reached somewhere you can’t reach.

You can still take a cheap vacation all inclusive with airfare, at a reasonable cost with these 10 ludicrously affordable travel destinations.

1. SRI LANKA

With gossamer-fine sands, cloud-wrapped mountains, waterfalls, tea plantations and palm trees wafting in the breeze, Sri Lanka is the picture perfect paradise and yet an amazingly cheap vacation spot. Your daily expenses will not go above $20 a day even if you stay at a three star hotel! It’s one of the best cheap vacation spots.

2. VIETNAM

Vietnam is a country of breathtaking natural beauty with an incredible heritage. It has amazing food and destinations for all kinds of travellers. At the time of writing this post, the exchange rate was 1 USD = 22465 Vietnamese Dongs! I bet you like this math and this cheap vacation idea.

3. INDIA

This country can be described in one word and that is - diversity. That’s not just about the languages, religions, castes and economical stature. It is true about the landscape and natural beauty of this country too.

In India, you can experience deserts, beaches, cruises, plateaus, plains and some of the highest mountain ranges. A dollar would give you sixty five Indian rupees and you can have pretty cheap vacation with even a small amount in your pocket!

4. NEPAL

The U.S. dollar is currently worth more than 100 Nepalese rupees, meaning an effective 20% decrease in prices over this time last year. For 100 rupees you can get a full meal, a bus ticket, a pot of ginger tea, a short tuk-tuk ride, and much more.

It’s clearly amongst the top cheap vacations all inclusive with airfare. Nepal is also home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites and has amazing scenic beauty and a pleasant climate. Read this buzzfeed article about why a Nepal trip should be on your bucket list.

5. HUNGARY

Budapest in Hungary makes to almost all itineraries of European tours. It may not be as affordable as the Asian destinations, but it will definitely not break your bank. If you love the countryside you should check out western Hungary. And no matter what, don’t miss the locally produced wines.

6. South Africa

The hallmarks of South African tourism are the sunny beaches and the rich art and culture. If you’re into fashion and shopping you should definitely make Cape Town a part of your holiday package. Again, it is reasonably priced, much cleaner and well within the budget.

7. GREECE

Even though the country’s economy is in turmoil the tourism industry doesn’t seem to be deterred. It’s still beautiful enough to make it to the top ten in this roundup of the most beautiful yet cheap travel destinations.

8. ITALY

Another relatively economical but great family holiday destination is Italy. Amazing culture, natural beauty, beaches and of course good food. All that without costing you a fortune.

9. EGYPT

The political unrest in this country that started in 2011 has mostly settled down and tourism is starting to take off. I don’t have to tell you about the beauty of this country. But I will tell you this - book your trip before all the rates go high!

Indonesia offers endless exploration and incredible diversity for every budget range. If you feel like going beyond your budget once in awhile when you’re there, you have multiple options to enjoy luxurious tours and several activities.
