Where Is Bermuda?

Bermuda is a Bristish Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is located off the southeast coast of the United States of America.

The capital city of Bermuda is Hamilton. From the cruise ship dock, you can take a ferry ride to the town of Hamilton, to see the sites, visit the many shops, and try out some restaurants.

What’s It Like To Cruise To Bermuda?

To get an idea of what a 7-day cruise (actually 7 nights, and 8 days) to Bermuda is all about, here’s a list of my agenda for the length of the cruise, packed with pictures of the inside of the cruise-ship, places to see in Bermuda, things to do on and off the ship, and lots more!

There are many things to see and do, both on and off the ship, including broadway-type shows and concerts to see, a sports arena with a basketball court, miniature golf, an ice skating rink, a rock wall to climb, and daily events on the royal promenade. Off the ship, there are various excursions to take advantage of, including trips to beautiful beaches and guided tours of different areas of Bermuda.

Bermuda Cruise Agenda - Day 1

Day 1: Once you board the ship, you are traveling at sea, getting oriented with the ship, and learning what there is to do on and off the ship.

  • 10 am - Getting oriented
  • 12noon - Eat lunch on the ship
  • 1 pm - Explore the ship
  • 2 pm - Munster drill
  • 3 pm - Afternoon siesta
  • 5 pm - Dinner in Magellan Dining room
  • 8 pm Welcome Aboard show in Palace Theater
  • Unpack

Inside the Cruise Ship

Here are some pictures of the inside of the cruise ship (Explorer of the Seas).

If you have never seen the inside of a cruise ship, you are in for a treat. It looks like a huge mall at times, and other times, it’s a like a little city, pretty amazing and decorated beautifully.

Cruise Ship Sets Sail!

When the ship takes off, many passengers flock to the top deck to watch the ship sail away. The weather was beautiful the first day, although it was a little windy. I was surprised to see how many people quickly made their way to the top of the ship, many taking pictures and video, despite the high winds as the ship set sail.

Bermuda Cruise Agenda - Day 2

Day 2: On the second day, we explored the gym which was located towards the top of the ship. There were daily exercise classes offered, including a 30-minute Fab Ab class to tone up those fabulous abs! Best to get that exercise out of the way because there are buffets and lots of food all day to enjoy!

  • 7:30 am - Fab Abs workout at ship gym
  • 9 am - Breakfast in Magellan Dining room
  • 11 am - Promenade Shops
  • 12pm - Buffet lunch and relax in the lounge
  • 2 pm - Michael Jackson trivia in Schooner Bar
  • 3 pm - Afternoon siesta
  • 5 pm - Formal night dinner
  • 6:30 pm - Pictures - get those fancy dresses and suits ready for some family portraits
  • 8 pm - Invitation Dance show

Bermuda Cruise Agenda - Day 8

Day 8: Arrive back in the United States and travel home.

What a wonderful cruise! It was well worth the trip, the shows were outstanding, the activities were lots of fun and I learned a lot about Bermuda. I have many fond memories on and off the ship. The ship was impressive and the there was always something to do and somewhere to eat.

Was there anything I didn't like? The only part I didn't like the long hours we were at sea at night, and due to the rain, the ship was rocking one night which made it hard to sleep. Remedy? Bring headphones and listen to soft music to get a good night's sleep!

Best "food" event was the Chocolate Buffet, with a chocolate fountain and everything you can imagine dipped in chocolate and all kinds of chocolate cakes. Chocolate heaven!!!
