A Great Day Out at LEGOLAND Windsor
Getting To LEGOLAND
LEGOLAND Windsor is located 2 miles from Windsor Town Center. It is situated on the site of the old Windsor Safari Park and has been open since 1996.
It is well signposted making it fairly easy to find. from all directions by car. There is an on site car park and also a local park and ride service. (Charges apply for both)
The Park
The park was designed with 3 to 12 year olds in mind and there is lots of fun things to do your the younger members of the family.
The Resort itself is split into 11 themed areas, some of which are full of fun rides.
The Beginning
The Entrance and Exit area of the park is situated at the top of the hill that the park sits on. Here you will find the The Big Shop, Last Chance Marketplace and and Kids Wear and Funky Fashions.
There are some great Interactive LEGO Models in this area. Put your hand in the picnic basket next to the family in the photo on the right and here the woman say get that dog out of the basket.
LEGO Star Wars
You will find the Lego Star Wars Miniland and Shop in this area. With some great scenes from the movies, you can explore Star Wars in all its LEGO glory. As well as the miniland models you will find a life size Darth Vader, C3P0 and R2-D2 in this area.
Viewing Platform
There are some great views across to Windsor Castle from the viewing platform. Take your own binoculars or telescope if you do not wish to pay out to use the on site ones.
If you don't wish to walk up or down the hill you can take the Hill Train.
Land Of The Vikings
Land Of The Vikings is situated down the hill from The Beginning. To get there follow the path from The Star Wars Experience
Here you will find lots of great rides and attractions
Loki's Labyrinth
A maze to get the whole family lost for a while. But don't take to long fnding your way out or you'll miss the rest of the fun.

Miniland
Miniland is a model village made out of LEGO. It is full of great models of famous landmarks from around the world. This includes Buckingham Palace and The London Eye as well as the Eiffel Tower and even a diver searching Loch Ness for the Monster.
Here you can take control of a model boat and drive it around in the harbor. This is great fun but does cost a little extra.
The Park is a great place for a day out in the London area for the whole family. However you really need 2 or more full days to fully explore the park and all its attractions as the ques can be quite large during peak season.
With lots of things for the whole family to do and see LEGOLAND Windsor is well worth a visit.
