A Review Of Rick's Uptown Cafe in Greenwood SC

Recently I passed through the small pleasant town of Greenwood SC one Sunday. It happened to be lunch time and, not wanting to go to a chain restaurant, I scoped out the downtown area and quickly found a very unassuming place called Rick's Uptown Cafeteria.

Actually, if there had not been a full parking lot of cars, I might have been hesitant to go in. But i realized it was just after the church hour, and the cars were mostly very respectable....so putting two and two together, I decided this must be a local favorite. The experience was interesting.

Opening the door, there was a long line going in front of 2 hot tables, the ladies behind working feverishly to load up heaping plates where people had a choice of 4 meats and over a dozen vegetables. I was already patting myself on the back for finding such a great establishment.
