Delhi My Visit to Capital City - Part III
I am able to spend few days only in Delhi. So my visit to places is brief. I visit a bazaar to buy some articles. My bargain power is poor. So I end up with window shopping.
#1, Safdarjung Road
A Very famous place. #1, Safdarjung Road is where the office/home of the former Prime Minister of India, Shrimati Indira Gandhi was situated. She is reverently remembered in many parts of rural India as Indira-Amma (Indira-Mother). After her demise, it is turned into a memorial. I am fortunate to visit this place. Famous children Rajiv Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi lived here with mother Indira Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi entered this house as an Indian Daughter-in-law.
Teen Murti Bhavan
House of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. Now a national memorial. It is also home to the Centre for Contemporary Studies, headquarters of Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund, Nehru Memorial Library, and also the Nehru Fellowship. Nehru Planetarium is also situated here.
