Dining in, Kamayan sa Palaisdaan, still at Lucban, Quezon
Just a few kilometers drive from Kamay ni Hesus
If you come to Lucban Quezon to see and visit the Kamay ni Hesus Shrine, it is impossible not to pass by this Restaurant. Tourist from all over choose to dine in to this place because it offers good province like atmosphere, good food and unique facilities. Entering the place is like engaging in another adventure.
The atmosphere, the place
The sorrounding is very filipino with Nipa Hut replica all over the place where a group of people can choose to eat their lunch.. The place also represents what its name suggests, "Kamayan sa Palaisdaan" or eating with bare hands in a fish ponds...The place is really like a fish pond with few floating Nipa Huts in the center...Since it is a Fishpond, Bamboos were used as bridges where visitors passed by to reach the place of their choice..
The atmosphere is very festive, with few displays representing what the province is known for.
I really appreciate the place, dining in there is like another adventure. But if you are the type who don't want to go to a crowded place, don't visit the place on the dates nearing the Pahiyas Festival, because those were the dates the visitors from all over arrived in groups.
The Food we ordered
This not the typical type of Filipino restaurant, that serves only Filipino food. I guess they can also serve foreign dishes defending on the customers' preferences. My Group ordered for Pancit habhab, if you are a Quezon Province visitor you should not miss this pancit. We also ordered for gising gising (vegetable in coconut milk), chopsuey (not a filipino dish), grilled Tilapia and Hito, Seafood Kare Kare, Sinigang belly of Maya Maya fish, Sizzling Gambas and others not included in the photo.
Again if you want to be served finely, don't go to this places during the Pahiyas Festival week because this place is really crowded during those days. My group and I went there a day before the Pahiyas festival and it was really crowded that we needed to wait for hours before we can finally get accommodated. The serving of foods took longer than usual too... But visiting a place included an adventure like this.... If you don't want to miss the fun of Pahiyas festival, then just prepare yourself for some disturbances...
Still, Visiting Lucban Quezon may never be completed without dining in here at the Palaisdaan
