If you are considering visiting east Africa, you can start by visiting Kenya. Kenya has some of the most distinct and stunning sceneries in East Africa. Also, it has the best animal parks that you would love to visit. You will enjoy interacting with Kenyan people who are eager to guide, welcome, and help you. These are some things you would like to consider before traveling to Kenya.
1. The kind of people in Kenya
Kenyan people are kind and are always ready to guide you when you are stuck. If it's your first time, their friendly nature will make it easy for you to cope and have an enjoyable and memorable stay. You will meet a good number of people welcoming you into their homes and offering their favorite cup of tea(chai) to you as they keep you up to date with the history of their country and their culture.
Kenya is a diverse country with 42 tribes, with the largest one being the Kikuyu tribe. People in Nairobi city converse in the Swahili or English language. While in the rural areas, it's mostly Swahili or their local language. Some of the major regional languages are Kikuyu, Luhya, Luo, Kalenjin, and Kamba.

Kenya is among the safest traveling destination. Even though some time back, they faced the threat of terror attacks. The Kenyan government has since added its security personnel in most areas. Like at the entrance point at the malls and banks in all major cities, you are likely to go through checkpoints too. It assures your safety during your stay.

Depending on the type of trip you want to, there are many options to consider. i.e., if you're going to move around the city and its environs, you can opt to take a matatu(bus), a cab, or hire a car. Among the three, cabs are the most convenient way to travel around the city.
What if you want to go on safari? A Land Cruiser is the best option as they have an elevated sunroof that is perfect if you consider taking photos. Also, land cruisers are more comfortable to use in bumpy areas. If their price happens to be on the higher side, you can choose to use a bus.
National Parks

If you plan to visit a park that is a few kilometers from the city center, this park is ideal. It is home to animals like warthogs, lions, leopards, and many more, even as you enjoy the city's view.
- Lake Nakuru national park
In this park, you will have the chance to watch a flock of flamingos moving along with the lake feeding on algae. You will also get to see some rhinos and zebras. Cliffs and waterfalls make an excellent place to relax and reconnect with nature.
- Amboseli national park
This national park is near Kilimanjaro mountain. Hence you get to watch elephants while enjoying the magical view of the hill.
- Masaai Mara national park
