The most beautiful season of the year. The colors take my breath away and the freshness in the air screams to me to stay outside and enjoy.

The Beauty and Feelings of Fall

Its that time of year again where people start traveling up and down the north east coast of our great country. All the leaves are screaming out to everyone saying "Hey look at me". Even young children notice the beautiful colors.

Most of us hate seeing the end of summer but no one can ignore the great smells, crispness of the air and of course the most beautiful colors of the seasons.

Its a great time all around as people come to life and start getting involved in outdoor sports. The summer can be way to hot to play football, bike riding, soccer and all the other active sports. Now is the time!

School is Back in Session

The kids are back in school and besides all the routines of classes, there are lots of sports and extra activities. Parents are running around trying to get their kids from one field to another and if they have more than one child they are pulling their hair out. I don't know if the kids are more exhausted or the parents.

On the weekends all that changes and families take nice rides up and down the east coast trying to find the best looking fall foliage and capturing the best pictures. You will see people on motorcycles, convertibles, RV's and trailers. Many people will camp in tents and get the best pictures at sundown.

Pocono Mountains

We are lucky to be living in the beautiful Pocono Mountains as this is one on the nations number one resort areas. It attracts tourists all year long but in the fall you can hardly move on the roads. Besides the beautiful vibrant colors of yellow, green, orange and reds, families love to go pumpkin picking and get large corn stalks to bring home and decorate their homes. Kids love to go in all the corn fields and mazes and see the scarecrows. Its really the start of the holiday season!

The candle factories are very busy and you cannot go inside one and go home empty handed. The minute the door opens the aroma gets you. I could stay in there all day. The colors and the fragrances can put anyone if a great holiday mood.

New England

Even though we live in the beautiful Poconos, we still like to go to New England. The drive up there is so beautiful and we take our time in the RV and stop at some antique stores and farmers markets. Being we go in the RV, we have lots of room to get some of the bigger things we see. One year, I tried to get a set of wagon wheels in a small car we had. That didn't work! Now I can get anything, within reason.

Every year we try to get to a football game at Foxboro, Massachusetts. We go to a very lovely campground called Normandy Farms. It is in the mountains and you don't have to leave there until you are ready to go home. They have activities for all ages and in the fall there are all kinds of Halloween things to do like a contest for decorating your campsite, trick or treating, costume contest and a dance with a live band for the older crowd and of course hayrides.

When you get tired and just want to chill out you can sit around the campfire and tell stories and roast marshmallows.

Fall is Here

Most of us are really not in any hurry to see summer go as we know the cold snowy winter is coming. While its here, go out and enjoy the beautiful colors and fragrances and all the fall activities. Go out and enjoy the Great USA. You and your entire family will love it.
