The whole place has been redecorated recently and the kitchen has been fitted with new furnishings as well.

There is actually 64m² of space provided in the apartment, and a total of three outside terraces (the largest of these is 12m² of space and adjoins the living room area). There are two smaller ones as well with one for each bedroom. The apartment looks right out over the ocean in Amarilla Bay below and being in the extreme south there is usually lots of sunshine.

Very many of the other apartment owners are English-speakers, and Costa del Silencio tends to have mostly people who speak this language which is a great help if your Spanish is not very good yet.

The complex is near to a local mini-market and plenty of other shops and facilities in Costa del Silencio and Coral Mar Square. There are plenty of local bars as well and live entertainment is provided in some of these.

Other attractions in the Amarilla Bay resort area

Amarilla Bay in Costa del Silencio is very close to the Las Galletas fishing village that is fast becoming a resort. There are popular beaches here and a marina and many local people enjoy relaxing in Las Galletas, which also has many good shops and local businesses.

Amarilla Bay apartment complex is right by the Montaña Amarilla ("Yellow Mountain") which is a nature reserve and conservation area of a lot of interest to naturalists and geologists. It is also very popular with walkers who like to climb up to its peak or take the coastal paths that lead over to the Amarilla Golf area of Tenerife's south.

Finally, for getting to Tenerife or getting away, the Reina Sofía Airport for the south of the island is just a short distance by car from Amarilla Bay.

Earth Angel, thank you for posting and your suggestions!

There are flights from Miami, Florida to here but that is to the airport in the north that is about 90 minutes drive away from the south by bus. I don't island hop at all but it is very easy to do. There are ferries and flights.

Dallas, there is actually a guy in his 80s who proposes to sail a raft from here across the ocean next year I believe.

      What a GREAT Hub Bard!!

I know from Hub standards the Hubs offering properties for sale may be a little promotional but I really enjoyed reading about the lovely land from which you offer your words of wisdom!!

Tenerife is just gorgeous!! I hate being a bit too 'blonde' but a map showing the Canaries, and then more specifically Tenerife, might be a wonderful addition!!

Also, how does one travel to Tenerife?? If I were to plan a trip from California, is it easy to reach?? Do planes fly straight in to the airport you mentioned?? Or would several planes be needed??

How do you get between islands?? Do you island hop a lot??

Glad to read your Hubs from such an amazing place!!

      Blessings always, Earth Angel!!
