Get To Know Floriham
Do you enjoy nature and appreciate the sounds of birds? Well then all aboard and come with me through this article and get to know Floriham.
Froggy213 is writing books on the history, places of interest and more of each pueblo of Puerto Rico; as his wife, and with my Boricua pride, I am collaborating with him, translating to provide English and Spanish information. We take photos and enjoy meeting people and finding wonderful places such as Floriham.
The name of the place is "Bosque Floriham", located on Rt 907 Km 0.2 at the sector Las Yayas in the barrio Lomas of Canovanas, Puerto Rico. The name Floriham comes from one of the two daughter's names of the owner. The place is a guest house ran by the owner, Gloria Quiñones. It is in the middle of the forest between more than 15 acres of a wonderful mountain scenery of the Caribbean National Forest and the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel owner is a nature lover and environmental preservationist. Motivated with her husband's dreams (Abraham Sierra - RIP) and her daughter's (Gloriham Sierra RIP) words: "I want a world full of love, free of drugs, trafficking and evil, where children can play without anything wrong that may affect them ".
Watch how incredible the working hands and talent are put together as they were constructing this wonderful and gorgeous place.

The zip-lines are located on platforms in between the trees, so you'll be flying from treetop to treetop while enjoying nature all around you, and appreciating all the birds sounds of the forest.
After the end of the canopy tour, you can hike to a beautiful waterfall to relax. During the 25 minutes of walk you will have the opportunity to admire the different species of tropical trees and birds such as the endemic San Pedrito or Puerto Rican woodpecker.
