A Fantastic Season
Season 2007-2008 will always be remembered by the Teddybears fans as one of the greatest in the history of The club.
Winners of the C.I.S Insurance Cup in March beating Dundee united in a thrilling penalty shootout.
Runners up in The UEFA CUP in May Losing to a deserving Zenit St Petesburgh in a well contested final.
Runners up in the Scottish Premier League on the very last day of the season after 8 games in 21days Rangers tired legs just couldn't pull it off.

The second Trophy won this season Rangers beat Queen of the South 3-2 in a thrilling final.
The final brings an end to a fantastic season for Rangers and the players can now look forward to a well deserved break after playing a world record 68 matches in one season.

Rangers Have arleady won silverware this season When on Sunday the 16th of March they lifted the CIS Insurance Cup or the Scottish League Cup as it is better known.
The Scottish League cup is a knockout tournament and Rangers Shone throughout overcoming every opponent that they met.

The Final was a Thrilling game which finished with the honours shared at the end of 90 minutes the score was 2-2 as it was at the end of 30 mins of extra time. the game was ended by a penalty shootout in which Rangers kept their cool to win by 3-2 lifting the first trophy of the domestic season.

The last day of the Premier League promised to be a nail biting end to a great competition both Celtic and Rangers were level on 86 points Celtic had a 4 goal advantage over Rangers and all was set for an exciting evening of football.

Both games kicked off AT 7:45 PM and you could cut the tension with a knife
Half time Both games were goalless 0-0, 45 minutes left to decide The Champions of season 2007-2008.
Then it all fell apart for Rangers, in quick succession Aberdeen Scored, then at Dundee Celtic Scored, Aberdeen scored again and the Premier league dream was over for another year, celtic were crowned Champions.
The Rangers players tired legs just could not produce the Football that we had become used to this season.

On the Road to Manchester
For the first time in 36 years, Rangers have qualified for a European Final and on Wednesday May the 14th will face Zenit ST Petersburgh in The City of Manchester Stadium, home of Manchester City, in what promises to be a thrilling and nail biting game to decide who will win the EUFA CUP.
It has been a long and arduous road to Manchester for Rangers, but every player in the team have shown pure grit and determination in every game on that road.
The Team have been slammed by the Footballing critics every step of the way for their unorthadox formation and playing style throughout the season but the results have spoken for themselves so far and hopefully will work just as well in the final.
Rangers qualified for the EUFA Cup after finishing third in a difficult group of the European Champions league.

SinceRangers exit from the Champions league, the management team Walter Smith and Ally McCoist have worked well with the players and have turned the fortunes of the club around, it may not be the greatest style of football that you have ever seen but it is working and Rangers are getting the results when it matters.

The Tennants Scottish Cup Final played on Saturday May 24th at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
Rangers played against Queen of the South for the final piece of Silverware of the Scottish season.
Rangers made the finals in dramatic fashion after a 1-1 draw with ST Johnstone in the Semi Finals, they went on to play extra time which also ended in a draw. the game went into a penalty shoot out that Rangers won 3- 2.
The road to the finals were more difficult than Rangers anticipated

The final proved to be a more difficult match than expected, Rangers took the lead after 33 mins and then consolidated that lead soon after to go into half time leading 2-0.
Queen of the South came out strong in the second half and in the first 15 minutes pulled back the 2 goals.
Rangers scored and took the honours with a hard fought 3-2 win
Season 2007-2008 all over Rangers won 2 out of four in a roller coaster season that promised so much.

Rangers season 2007-2008 will be remembered for a long time to come, the players gave their all and they almost became legends.
This season Rangers have already made the history books by having played 69 games in a single season more than any other club in Scottish History.
This was the season where dreams nearly came true, but it still ranks up there as one of the greatest seasons in the history of the club.
There is a new life in Rangers, Walter Smith and Ally McCoist have brought a belief to the players and the fans that will stand us in good stead for the future, we didn't quite manage to become legends but there is a new season just around the corner 2008-2009 could just be our season in the Sun.
