Terrie is a mother and grandmother. She love to travel, take photos of the places she has been and she loves sharing them with others.

Make sure your up early and well prepared for the tour. We had to be there by 9:00 AM. We were picked up by the limo and driven to the helicopter hanger. The limo ride is a complementary service. Only Bring a wallet or a purse. No big bags are allowed on the chopper. A bag can be left in their office until you return from the tour. Before takeoff, everyone is, weighed. There is max weight allowed for each helicopter. If you get the chance, pay extra for the front seat. Only two people get this option, and it's first to come, first served. So if you want the first seat, book at the same time as the flight. Don't forget your ID, They will ask you for it, and there is no ride without it. There is a gift shop for anyone who wants a memento of the trip. Once all people in your group are ready, there is a waiting area, stay there till they call you. You will be directed, to your Helicopter. The pilot gives directions and tells you when it's your turn to load. Once everyone is on board, you get a headset. The pilot narrates the entire tour and asks if there are any questions. You will learn a lot about the history of the area and the people who are native to the land. What a way to get a history lesson. It's a once in a lifetime tour. But well worth the money. Now, on with the tour.

Make Sure You Get the Brunch Surprise

When you take this tour, be sure and get the champagne brunch. The set of photos above shows most of our tour before the camera quit working. The trip is a fully guided tour, narrated by the pilot. The view is awe-inspiring. After flying around a bit, It's time to land in the bottom of the canyon for brunch. The brunch was an amazing surprise for me. My hubby never told me we were having champagne when we landed. The area is only, seen by people on the helicopter ride. You cannot get to the area by trails. Everyone unloaded, We had a look around. As we got our legs back, the pilot prepared for the picnic brunch. In total, you get about 30 minutes to eat and take a wonder around. What a beautiful place! The food was fantastic, and the campaign was the cherry on top. You will never forget the trip here. Enjoy the land and be grateful you could land here. Don't take anything home, leave it where it is. We only get to be there because the native tribe in the area gave permission for people to be there. Please be respectful and give thanks. Then we got on with the tour. The helicopter will have to refuel partway through the flight. The helicopters have to land on the top of a mountain to fuel up. Everyone will have to get out of the chopper while it is refueling. Then you take off and head back to Las Vegas.

Looking Over Las Vegas

I love getting the birds eye view of Las Vegas.

Flying Over the Vegas Strip

By the time you arrive back, it will be about 3:30 to 4:00. It was just starting to get dark when we were there. The view from the sky was breathtaking. We flew over a couple of times and watched as the lights of Vegas started to come on. I loved it and will never forget this trip. If it's your first trip to Las Vegas or your tenth, this view and tour will amaze you and have you talking for years. The view over this magnificent city is like no other I've ever seen. It's hard to put into words, how it felt taking this tour. You have to see it for yourself.

PS: Photos are from my phone, our camera stopped working. The air was dense, and it affected the pictures. I'll have to go again for some retakes. I think it's a good excuse to fly over again, how about you?

The View From Our Room

After the Helicopter Tour

Plan on being gone for the entire day. You will be tired but euphoric after you take this tour. It was something I never thought I would ever get to do. I hope you take this tour when you're in Vegas. Nothing can compare to the natural beauty and views of the area. Take my quiz or comment below and let me know if you've taken a Heli tour of this fantastic place. The view from my hotel that night was awe Inspiring. Even through the window, you get that full feeling of the glitz and glamor of the Las Vegas strip. I'll be coming back again soon.

He was in shock, like a deer in the headlights.

Walking the Strip and Seeing the Sites

The photo above is of my hubby. He looked like a deer in the headlights of a car. I don't think he realized how big of a city it was. It took about 48 hrs to feel like he belonged there. If you want to do something outside your comfort zone, this could be it. It was for us. You see it was our first time there. The lights and the sights were truly like no other we have seen. To see so many malls inside hotels was something we had also never seen before. Shopping therapy was a delight. You will enjoy all the choices Las Vegas has to offer. I might have to write another article to tell you all about it. Guide to Las Vegas is a wonderful unoffical look before you go. It's a look at the sites and go to's before you arrive. This one was about the Heli tours, and I find myself wanting to talk about everything this city has to offer. From me to you, you really must go here and take the helicopter tour. If it's not on your bucket list, It should be. There is nothing else like it.
