Hotel Venus Benidorm

3 star Hotel Venus is located on a flat part of Benidorm, close to many shops and showbars of the Rincon de Loix (New Town).

Despite being set back a bit from the roadway, it is not in the quietest of positions, and noise may disturb your sleep if you arrived planning a restful vacation. On the other hand, if you come to Benidorm to enjoy the night-life, you will enjoy the location of Hotel Venus.

Situated 300 metres from the sandy Levante Beach, and less than 100 metres from the popular "Square" where many clubs put on fantastic free shows, the Hotel Venus has a charm that will attract visitors year in year out.

If you look at the map below, you will see how close the Hotel Venus is to Benidorm's famous outdoor market which is held twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. I have been unable to pin a marker because there is no address as such, but it is on the map as a square running back from the tip of the green marker showing where Hotel Venus is.

Hotel Venus has 358 rooms spread over two buildings, one 9 floors high and the other 8. 341 of these rooms are twin while the remaining 17 are single rooms. The bedrooms are very well fitted out with

• flat screen TV that shows BBC and ITV among other English speaking channels
• fridge (now that's a definite plus in the summer months)
• full en suite bathroom (includes a full size bath)
• hairdryer (breakage deposit payable at reception)
• central heating (in winter)
• full air conditioning (in summer)

There are six lifts to service the two blocks, and there have been absolutely NO complaints about waiting times for those lifts, even in peak season.

If you have a room with a pool view, you will find it noisier in the evenings as the music from the hotel's own entertainment can be heard from there, but it is much quieter when the entertainment stops at midnight.

With a street view, however, expect quite a bit of noise from the nearby music bars, plus rowdy drunks going home at all hours of the night. If you enjoy 'people-watching', a street view room may be better throughout the day.

The Hotel Venus has extensive grounds (4000²m) and a fabulous figure of 8 shaped swimming pool, with the smaller of the circles being a shallow children's pool.

They have plenty of sunbeds and even in peak season when the hotel is full, there are plenty to go round so there is no need whatsoever to reserve sunbeds like they do at many other hotels.

As part of the Servigroup chain of hotels, visitor to the Hotel Venus can use any of the facilities in any sister hotel. The Hotel Pueblo is just across the road, and they have an indoor heated pool for those colder months, and also a bank cash machine when if you take your card you can receive a better exchange rate. It is also generally reckoned to be safer to use a covered machine than one out on the street.

The food is fantastic at the Hotel Venus.

All foods hot or cold are prepared buffet-style so you can choose what you want to eat. The hotel offers 'show cooking' every evening, where the chefs will cook something just the way you like it in front of you.

They employ masterchef Jean Marc Sanz and so the standards of the meals are very high.

Not only is there a great choice on the menu each day, but each dish is cooked to perfection. Everyone who has stayed here full board has complained of finding themselves pounds heavier when they got home.

The hotel has two main bars. One called 'Cafeteria Dracma' features live music most evenings, while the other features dancing.

All bars within the Servigroup of hotels offer 2 for 1 on local spirits and as a guest at the Hotel Venus you are free to use any of the facilities of the other hotels, 3 of which are close by.

As if the Hotel Venus didn't have enough going for it already with a great location, a great pool and sunbathing area, superb meals and well fitted out bedrooms, it also offers FREE WIFI throughout the hotel!
