Located in Southern India, Kerala, Munnar both in the language Tamil and Malayalam symbolizes three rivers. Three mountain river streams merge at this place.
How to reach
Nearest Airport: Cochin, is 135 Kms from Munnar. You can hire a cab to reach Munnar and enjoy the nature drive towards the beautiful hill-station Munnar.
Rail: Udumalpet is the nearest railway station to Munnar. The distance is 97 kms and the ride is greenish and full of breathtaking misty rides. You can easily get tempo traveller rides as well as hire a cab.
Bus: Munnar is well connected by Bus from many main south India Cities, KPN travels have frequent fliers to Munnar.

Places to see:
Botanical Garden: Loaded with different variety of refreshing flowers is a Govt. of Kerala undertaking. You can enjoy the view of all different kinds of flowers as well as learn about the ancient Ayurveda medicinal plants over here. They also sell common Ayurveda plants which are very valuable in maintaining a healthy soul and body.
HoneyBee Tree: The ancient tree loaded with honeycombs is a natural wonder and rare sight to see. You can count up to 100 honeycombs on a tree. Don't forget to get your bottle of pure honey though :)
Elephant point: Enjoy the great Indian Elephant ride here and get the Royal feel, it costs Indian Rs 700 bucks per couple.
Mattupetty Dam: Nice lake surrounded by mist followed by the Dam, nice place to snap in few pics of your love, with your love :)
Echo point: Shop well here, nothing much to wonder about, can scream out voices to bounce back number of times.
Tea Gardens: Spread all over the city spend some time watching the serene tea gardens.
Murugan Temple: Ancient Temple for Hindu devotees, calm your soul here.
Chinnar Wild Life: Trekking stretch for adventure addict people, need to set aside a day for same. You will definitely come across wild bison, elephants, monkeys and if lucky might see some rare species of animals, like the Tiger or colorful migratory birds.
There are many other smaller places to see but I would suggest to relax with some magical Ayurveda massage and make the most of your time with calmness and watching nature.
