Italian open air markets
One of the most amazing things about Italy are their open air markets. We lived in a great location. Every day of the week there was a town within 20-30 km that was doing an open air market. Our town, Vicenza did them twice a week. One on Thursday and one on Sunday. The ones on Thrusday were mostly clothes and fabric type of materials. They also had the 1 Euro bins which had a lot of the same stuff our $1 bins do. Basically junk but useable junk. Sundays were more of the furniture/cool stuff. Once a month every town would have an Antique market and those were ALWAYS my favorite ones to go to. There is everything from clothes to rocks and even vintage cameras and super old coins! In a town called Comissano on Sundays they have an open air market where they would sell boxes of fruit and vegetables for real cheap. Out of all the markets we had been to the Christmas markets had to have been my favorite! Everything was hand crafted. Wish I could have bought one of everything!
