Items to Take on a Daytrip

Updated on March 23, 2011

When you are going on a day trip you might be curious about what items you should take along. The first question that you will want to determine is what type of day trip you are going to go on. If you are going to go on a hike your items will be different if you are going on a day trip to the beach. So here are some items that you will want to take on a day trip no matter what area you are going to.

The first item that you will want to take with you when you are going on a day trip is take some extra cash with you. Since it is a day trip you will probably end up driving so you will want to ensure that you are going to have some extra money in case you run into some problem that you do not anticipate. For instance you might want to take an extra fifty dollars on top of what you are already considering because if you break down and require a tow truck you will need to pay them somehow and the extra money can work out great for that. Then if you do not use the extra money that you take with you then you can put the money back to where you wanted it at originally.

The second item that you will want to take along is a change of clothing. Yes, many of us are not going to get dirty, but you can never predict if you slip on a trail or even if you go on an unexpected swimming venture. So that is the reason why a change of clothing is always a good item to take with you. This is very true if you have any kids that you take on a day trip with you.

The third item that you will want to take on a day trip is a camera. If you do not take a camera you will have the memory in your mind, but unless you are friends with people that have been there then it will be hard to share your specific ventures without some form of pictures.

While taking a day trip is always fun and adventuresome you will want to take some items with you. I know that at times some of these items will vary greatly depending on the type of day trip. However, some of the items that you will want to take with you at all times are extra money, changes of clothing, and a camera so you can take pictures.
