There are no shortages of places to stay, whatever is your taste or desire you will be able to find it on this island from beach front to mountain cliff-side to land living; but availability might be difficult during certain time of the year due to the high volume of tourism.
I love Montego Bay because it offers so many variety of things and it is the central point to easily accessing the different places of attraction and some of the most beautiful exquisite beaches. Negril beach; this beach is exotic and awesome, it has been rated one of the top beaches in the world for several years in travel magazines, some other beaches that are equally as beautiful is Doctor's Cove beach; this is one of the most popular beach, Dolphin Cove; this is an adventurous beach where you can swim with the Dolphins, some other popular beaches in the area are Silver sands, Fisherman's, Time N' Place, Trelawny and Seven Mile Beach.
There are numerous amount of excursion tours that are available to take you to all the various different attractions and adventures, that you will never have time to be bored. Places you might like to visit would be the out door malls and craft market where you can shop for a variety of crafts and local souvenirs. Dunn's River falls is the most popular attraction of water falls cascading 600 feet, its a beautiful site to behold and you will never forget the experience of climbing the falls. The climb to the top of the falls is great because you do not climb alone, you go up in groups like a chain, every one holding each other hands helping them up forward and there is always a guide with you, this experience is awesome. Visit the Botanical gardens and other enchanted gardens with exquisite waterfalls, explore caves such as Green Grotto Cave and for those who are young at heart and have a very adventurous spirit you will enjoy these thrilling activities such as Zip Line and ATV adventures, Dolphin swim, white river tubing, water horse back riding, snorkeling and Jet Ski. Bamboo Rafting is also available, this is calm romantic ride along the river, its like a Gondolier ride in Paris, this is enjoyed a lot by couples.
Jamaica has no shortage of dining options and experiences from the finest restaurant at 5-star resorts to open air Jerk shacks and street side cooking. Jerk is a specialty of the island and it is cooked or grilled in an oil drum grill. Jamaica is known for their love of spicy mix cuisine, Jerk is an international favorite eating experience and it is one of the "brand" food on the island, its very very hot but equally delicious and finger licking good. There are Jerk Chicken, Fish, and pork.
Jamaica National dish is "Ackee & Salt Fish" which is usually served with Fried Breadfruit, boil green bananas, dumplings: fry or boil and fry plantain, this is usually a Sunday morning breakfast favorite but its available and eaten everyday. Curry is a spice that they enjoy and you can get curry chicken and curry goat and rice serve with whatever you want, another of the local favorites are Patties & Coco bread, the patties are available in a variety of meat such as beef, chicken, fish, lobster and vegetable, UM - UM good.
They have a variety of fish available and cooked in different ways but the most common way we like to eat it is when they fry it, its called "Escoveitched Fish" fish the fish is fried golden brown and topped with hot pickle pepper (contents include carrots, onions and hot pepper in a white vinegar mixture). Their soups are delicious and they are my favorite, you have red peas soup, gungo peas soup, chicken & fish-tea soup, and mannish water soup to name a few. The food taste fresh and great because they use rich wholesome natural ingredients and their spices are unique to Jamaica. Don't forget about the Jamaican Coffee, one of the best in the world is " The Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee."

Kingston the capital of Jamaica is often overlooked as a travel destination by tourist but if you want to experience the "real" Jamaica then Kingston would offer you this unique view and experience.
