Plitvice Lakes National Park is the largest park in Croatia, it covers 73,350 acres. Situated in the Karst area of central Croatia at the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Plitvice lake National Park is the oldest National Park in southeast Europe. The Park was established in 1949. It is famous for its 16 lakes that are known for their distinctive colors, the lakes are connected by cascades and waterfalls , the largest waterfall being, 78 meters in height. At Plitvice you will experience amazing scenery, beautiful flora and fauna .
The National Preserve is home to a wide diversity of animal life, such as wolves, bears, dears and rabbits. Plitvice Lakes National Park is a haven for birds with more then a hundred bird species.
